The two dragons stood together in silent watching the rising sun. One dragon was by the name of Envis, and the other Sesair. Sesair was the bigger of the two and the eldest. The two were brothers. Envis was a red dragon while Sesair was a blue dragon. That day, they were waiting for a man.
The man finally arrived at the hill they were on. The man had dark hair and bore a sword. The man looked around his 20s. "Have you brought her with you?" asked Envis.
"Yes. I have. She is coming soon."
"Good," growled Sesair. " I do not have the patience to wait for such nonsense."
"And I agree. Oh Sesair. Lord of Water."
A girl around Uliac's age came up over the hill. The wind blew on her dark and lush black hair. "Why do you want me to come here Uliac?"
Uliac pointed his sword at the two dragon and said to her. "These two. They are Envis and Sesair."
"Envis the lord of fire. and Sesair the lord of water," she gasped.
"Yes oh wise seer of the land. We are indeed the two in which you say we are, Coal." growled Sesair.
Coal took a step towards the majestic dragons. She placed her hands on them. "Is it time?"
The dragons looked at her and said in unison. "It is time."
"Indeed it is," said Uliac. "Indeed it is."
The wind blew hard that day. They looked over the horizon that had started to turn bright red. Coal whispered to them, "Magnus."
And with that she fell to the ground. Uliac did not bother to help her. She had given up her life for the land. "So be it," said Uliac. "I would have done anything back in my home, but I have chosen to stay here."
The dragons bent down to him saying. "Though we may not see past into the future, we can tell you that your choice to stay here was not by mistake. Nor is it a mistake in the old prophecy that Magnus shall prevail. But he shall be different after this."
Uliac looked at the dragons. 'Dragons. Such majestic beast. So full of beauty. To be killed by their own.' thought Uliac.
Uliac kneeled down to the two and said, "I Uliac, king of the land far from here. Chosen to redeem the many races in this land of Alrook. Shall be , prophesied, father of a nation. My sword everlasting. Unfourtunately, my sons shall carry the burdens of my wrongs, my faults, and my wrong doings. My daughters scattered across the land. My most just twentieth generation descendant shall bear the first price, and through the ages, my 30th generation descent shall be the last to bear the greatest of my sins."
"And for the fate of the land. The prophecy shall be known throughout the land. Sent by Coal. From the lands. Strike upon Magnus's evil. Upon this hill we rest. Shall be your home ,Uliac. You shall lay the foundations of a kingdom vast. Started from one man, one prophecy. Your home, shall be known as Vissal. Your sons shall face no trails for centuries. But soon, one shall. We can give your one chosen descent a message. you choose," said the two.
"I have only ones message. Tell him. I....."
What do the dragons mean it is time? Who is Uliac and what does Uliac want? Why did Coal fall to the ground? What did this Magnus do to make the horizon red? Some of these questions shall be answered if you continue. What was all the talking about in the last two paragraphs? Unfortunately all of these questions will not be answered in this book alone. But throughout the entire series.
********I have chosen to make this chapter short because I cant make it any more suspenseful than it is.*******
