*Zach's pov, as y/n leaves the house*

"Get over yourself" she sang as she walked out the door.
She was right, this isn't fair to her.
But Corbyn was also right, she has been hurt to many times and I might make it one more time.
I need to get out of this house.
I need a distraction from y/n.
"Boys!" I yelled as I got up from my stool "I'm going out!"
"K"
"Got it"
"Cool"
"We are going out for dinner so you better be home or your on your own!" That was Daniel. He hates waiting for his food.
"Yeah, yeah!"
I walked to the end of the drive way, then I realized y/n took the car. Fine I'll walk.
I started to walk to the mall.

I was at the GAP looking at shirts when I saw this girl with long blonde staring at me. I shrugged it off and kept looking. I mean I am Zach Herron.
I was at the Nike outlet looking at shoes when I saw that girl walk in again, weird. I just walked out without buying anything.
I saw that girl at Old Navy, Foot Locker, and like three other stores. She was following me. But to be honest she was cute.
I had decided to get some ice cream. So I sat at a table in the food court.
I had just taken a spoon full when someone sat down in the seat across from me. I looked up and saw the head of blonde hair I had been seeing all day.
"Hey I'm Bethany" she smiled and held out her hand.
I looked it and smiled, as not to be rude.
"I'm Zach"
"Nice to meet you Zach" she was still smiling and still sitting there.
This was awkward.
"So I've seen you around" she broke the silence
"Oh, yeah I have seen you around to" I laughed at her in my head "were you following me" I decided to be straight forward
She blushed "Yeah a bit" she looked at her lap then at me "I thought you were really cute"
"Oh" I felt a blush as well.
"Am I being annoying, cause I can leave" she pointed her thumb over her shoulder.
I stared at her and didn't answer, she started to get up and leave.
Corbyn is your boy, do what he says.
That popped into my head as I stared at her eyes.
"No it's fine, I could actually use a friend" I blurted
A wide smile returned to her face
"Ok" she sat back down.
I realized I hadn't eaten my ice cream yet and it was starting to melt.
"Want some ice cream?" I asked, I didn't want to be the only one eating, my mom always told me it was rude to eat in front of people.
"I can get you some if you want"
She thought about it for a moment
"Yeah sure, if you don't mind"
I walked up to the counter and order what she wanted.
We walked back to the table were we were before.
"So tell me about yourself" I said after a few moments of silence.
"Um, so I have an older brother, he is gone, out of the house with two kids. I'm a junior in high school. And that's pretty much all there is to known about me at the moment" she smiled when she talked about her brother. "What about you" she went to her ice cream
"I have one brother, one sister, brother, both younger. I'm in a band an-" she cut me off
"Your in a band?" She held up her hand. "Like what kind"
"Me and my four friends sing, one of them plays like every instrument ever invented, and most of us know basic guitar."
"That's cute" she smiled
She was cute when she smiled.
"Yeah we are called Why Don't We" she dropped her spoon.
He mouth was open, and she just stared at me.
"Your joking"
"No?" I was confused by her reaction
"No way, my friend listens to you all the time, I love your songs, but I have never had the time to look you guys up for myself so I did didn't know what you guys looked like or who you were!" She got really happy. And started to twist in her seat.
I just laughed a bit "is that so?"
"Yeah" she laughed when she saw me laughing as well.
"Well thanks for being a fan" we smiled at each other, did I mention I really like her smile.

We walked around and talked, I told her about what's been going on with the boys and me, and she told me about her brother and the kids.
Then we got personal and I told her about y/n and the situation with Jack and she told me about her ex-boyfriend.
"I mean I like her, but I can't have her, Corbyn is my boy, and right now he comes first." We were just walking around at this point.
"That sucks, well she hasn't seemed to want to be anything more, she hasn't made a move to change things?"
"No she hasn't" I sighed, realizing she was right.
Bethany looked pretty upset for some reason. But she also looked happy, I was confused.

We were walking through the food court to the parking lot cause I wanted to be safe on going home so Daniel didn't leave without me for dinner.
"I had fun today" she grabbed my hand as we walked through the maze of cars
"Yeah me to" I looked at our locked fingers. "Hey, you wanna come over" I said without thinking
"Yeah sure, I will have to text my mom but" she looked at me "sure" then she flashed that adorable smile of hers and we started go walk back to the house.

"Boys!!" I screamed when we walked into the house "we are home!!" I lead Bethany into the kitchen "Want anything?" I opened the fridge as I spoke. But just as I set the plate down Daniel and Jonah came running into the kitchen.
"What did you mean we?" Daniel asked. Jonah elbowed him as he saw Bethany "Oh" he shoved his hands in his pockets "I'm Daniel, and this is Jonah" he stared at her.
"Hi, I'm Bethany" she waved and then ran her fingers through her hair. I love it when girls do that.
"Yeah we have a game paused on the Xbox so, see ya" they ran out as fast as they came in.
"Well that was two of the boys" I laughed
She laughed as well "they're cute"
A twinge of jealousy hit me as she spoke.
I sat down next to her as she was laughing
"I love your laugh"
She laughed harder and put her arm on my shoulder.
I then heard the door open and Jonah was talking with someone, then out of the corner of my eye I saw Jonah and y/n, Jonah whispered Bethany's name.
"Oh hey y/n how did your meeting go?"
Bethany turned around and y/n gave her a funny look
Wow that was rude.
