I walked into school and smiled as I saw Tsuki and Hitoka holding each other then I saw our team and smiled as I saw my boyfriend. I went towards them then Asahi held me and Daichi finished his story when I heard footsteps and turned to see Hinata. He had a couple of bandages but other than that, he was fine. Out of us all, he was the worst. I smiled as he sat next to Kageyama on the garden bed wall then the bell rang and we went to class. At practice, Coach came in and had a small bandage on his head then he smiled at us as we circled around him for the practice match game plan.
"You know, I planned this whole speech for you guys. Instead, I'm gonna let Novalie talk." He said and I stood then was hesitant, having not expected this. I stared at the team then I smiled as I fiddled with my hands.
"When I came to this town, I was probably the bitch queen. But no matter what, all of you did all you could to make my sister happy and I soon became your family. Something every team says they have but only you possess is pure trust for each other. No other team has the trust you all have and that's something that can't be easily taken. Yeah, sure, we've all smiled, laughed, cried, hated each other, and shoved each other away but we keep coming together because we trust one another and that's what a family really is. Yes, Asahi, Daichi, Suga, Kiyoko, and myself are leaving after this year but that doesn't mean our family is breaking apart. Rather, it's going to grow with the new year and it's going to fall to the second and new third years to teach them the trust we hold. This isn't a team, we aren't just Karasuno High's Boys Volleyball Team, we're the family only so many can join. You showed me that when you all trusted me countless times and that's what makes me love you all. Nothing in this world can tear this family apart, no matter how much we fight and love and hate and laugh." I said and saw a few wet eyes then I took a deep breath and shook my head.
"This has been one eventful year, I'll say that much, but I wouldn't change a damn thing about it because it's perfect the way it is. The way this played out, the way this game went, I would play it the exact same each and every time. Sure, there are things you can try to change but then the game would end differently, wouldn't it? Yeah, I wish we didn't get as hurt as we did, but sometimes it takes pain for love to prevail. I know that first hand. So I want all of you to promise, promise me you'll never forget your family and you'll remember who you are in this moment because one day, your kids will ask you who you were in high school. I want you to be able to say you were the best you that ever lived because of your volleyball crazy family." I said and they laughed then I saw even Tsukishima crying some. Tanaka and Nishinoya were full on bawling, everyone else kinda between that. Then Nekoma showed and they smiled some as we dried our eyes and began the practice match.

I smiled as Asahi hugged my waist from behind then I stared at the night sky as we stood in the clearing. He had taken me to the woods and to a clearing where a romantic picnic was set up."Asahi, this is perfect." I whispered and he smiled then kissed my jaw and forced me to sit.
"I don't want you to fall." He whispered and I eyed him then gasped as he pulled a soft blue velvet box from his jacket pocket.
"Novalie, I uh, I never imagined doing this while still in high school. That is, until I met you I guess. I really, really love you and I don't care who you were in the past. I love you for the Novalie I know. You're kind, caring, protective, loving, amazing, beautiful, and your hair glows in the sun and your eyes shine so brightly when you laugh and smile. The thing that makes my day is seeing you smile as you walk towards me before school or waking up and seeing a text from you telling me good morning. I just hope that one day, you'll be waking up beside me and our kids will be begging us to come open the presents under the tree or they'll be asking us for breakfast. I want that cliche, white picket fence life with you because you are the only girl I have ever even wanted to be with and not blush. Granted, you've said things that destroyed me, I knew that you did it to protect me and now I see what it was for. But from now on, promise me you'll let me stand by you as we protect our volleyball crazy family." He said and I laughed at the use of my words then he opened the box and I saw a custom made diamond ring.
"Asahi..." I whispered and saw he looked nervous. I laughed and jumped at him, my arms around his neck and my lips claiming his. He hugged my waist as I stood on my knees then I laughed on his lips as I cried in joy.
"Yes. Yes, I'll marry you." I whispered and he grinned then gave me a love and passion filled kiss. I slid the ring on then he hugged me as I laid my head on his, his arms around my waist, and my arms around his neck as I happily cried into my fiancé's hair. Happily ever after, Novalie Azumane.
