At the dojo...

The group of students sitting on the matts watched me with amused face.

"So, who's the new kid?" some guy asked

"That is Jasper Rhyes. He'll be joining our classes from now on." the instructor said

"Did you transfer over from another dojo?" some girl asked i shook my head. She scoffed at me, "then what are you doing showing up in the middle of the session."

"I moved from london recently." i stated with a toned version of my usual accent. The class stared at me.

"No way, you're british." some girls said. The guys got the same expression that i usually see in school. Great, they think i'm going to hook up with the girls here. Ignoring the stares i glanced back at the instructor.

"Jasper, would you sit out for this activity, i wouldn't want you getting hurt." he said as a few of his assistants brought out planks off wood. I scoffed. "What, do you think you can break a piece?"

"Yeah." i said "i can break more than just one."

He had a few boards set up.

"Tell ya what, if you can break these three boards, i'll raise you to a green belt." he said

"How is that fair." some chick asked as i was already walking out to the middle. I waited for a signal. When i was signaled, i broke the first board with a simple open palm hit, the second with the back of my arm and the third with a roundhouse kick with the back of my heel. Complete silence.

"Um." the instructor stated

"Professional boxer. Parents were worried about my safety since i had to drop out a few months ago. I'm starting to get rusty" I stated shaking out my hand.

"But that high kick" the instructor said I shrugged

"Kickboxing" i stated.

"Kickboxing and Boxing." the instructor said "you're joking, you're like what 12?"

"Actually, i'm 17. And i've been boxing and Kickboxing since i was 12." i stated i was given the green belt and he expected much more from me.
