The Whole Nine Yards

Chapter 13

It was the first day of school and students came flooding in. The first years are buzzed to finally be here.

Kong was looking around but he can't find Arthit. He proceeded to the Faculty of Economics. In their second year, they are given the chance to take elective subjects either from their own faculty or other faculties. He chose Economics.

Since he is not familiar with the faculty building, it was not surprising that Kongpob got lost. When he entered the classroom, the class has already started.

' Name and Student Code' the teacher demanded.

He told them.

'Are you from this faculty?' the teacher asked sternly which made Kong wonder if they are this strict here.

'No Prof. I'm from the faculty of Engineering'
Oh Let's see then. Take your seat.' he sternly ordered.

Then a guy came in who is apologetic for  being late.

'Oh no no no Kai, you can even miss my class and still top it.' the professor is flustered. Kong wondered ' Where did his stern attitude just moments before, go?'

The student almost rolled his eyes but went to a vacant seat beside Kong. The guy looked at him then to the board.

When the class ended, he heard,

' Prof Yinyu was stuterring.'
' Happens every time AiKai is in the room.'
' Well, he's genius. What he is doing in our faculty is a mystery.'
'Don't chase him away, Ana. He's the hottest guy in our faculty.'

Kong approached Kai, afterall, they will be partners in paper analysis.

' I can do it for us.' Kai offered.
' I want to learn too.' Kong objected.
' Oh. See you next time then' he left.

Kong nodded. He is hungry. When he went to his locker, there was food there, his favorite omelet.

Buy your own drink. - ARTHIT.

He grinned. To an ordinary mortal, that was an order, no more no less. But to love dazed Kongpob, the note is the most romantic one he got from his glacial boyfriend.( Since it is the only one,hah)  He happily ate in one of the benches.

Arthit was in their classroom when he received Kong's message:

Thank you.😍😍

He almost dropped his phone as he is turning tomato red now. Kongpob will hear from him later about sending these emojis while he was in the middle of class.

'Are those hearts?' Bright tried to look further
'Bright!' Arthit glared while holding his phone as far away as possible from his nosy friend.
'Are you sexting?' Bright bluntly asked
' Bright!" several students are looking at them now, their friends are just laughing.

' If you are this bad now, how much worse will it be if we start our internship?' Prem added that made Arthit blush harder.
' Not helping Prem!' he yelled.

Kong and Arthit were unable to meet for days since their schedules do not jive. One day when they were sent for an exercise in the library, Arthit saw Kong sharing a table with a tall guy.

The girls are giggling,

' Why did AiKai take a partner this time?'
' I was wondering about that too.
He's too impatient with us mortals that he'd rather do his paper alone.'
' But look at them together, isn't it hot?'

Arthits eyes narrowed. The tall guy is explaining something to Kong who looked so engrosed and impressed if the smile on his face was a clue.

'Arthit, let's go.' Knot pulled him.

Arthit didn't accomplish anything. He was distracted by the two who were four tables across. Kong didn't even notice he came in with his friends. Kong in the past is very in tune to his presence, like an annoying motion detector machine. Now, look at him explain and listen to that tall guy like he hung the moon. When Arthit can't take it anymore, he dropped all pretense that he was working and,

' Toota.' he prodded his friend
' Yes?'
' Who is that guy with Kong?'
' Are you jealous?'Toota teased.
' Who's jealous?' Arthit denied
' Well, you who is a stern believer that the library is not for gossip, just nagged me to gossip!'
' Fine. Dont answer.'
'Gosh. Aren't you shortly fused today?.He is NongKai, sophomore." Toota finally answered.
' Seems Kong is so impressed with him.' Arthit observed and it took everything not to grind his teeth while saying that.

' He should be.' Toota claimed.
' Why?'
' Kai is a genius. His IQ is one of the highest in Thailand. He qualified for the most prestigious school in Bangkok but he chose to study here.' Toota explained.
'What faculty does he belong in?' Arthit asked, now curious.
'Economics.'

If Arthit suddenly went rigid, Toota was not about to tell anybody. But he can't blame Arthit, Kai is so impressive he is worth freezing over.
