Chapter 44

After his classes, Arthit saw Kai and Kong walking together. 'This Kai never stays away from Kong.'  Now, he is sticking with him like a leech. Arthit folded his arms and looked at Kai,  which part of 'Kong has a fann' does this supposed genius not understand?' 

But when Arthit's gaze landed on Kong, his forehead wrinkled as he stared. Kong looks like he does not know where he is going. He has that blank look on his face again. What's the matter Kong?

Arthit gasped as  Kai suddenly had to pull Kong out of the way of the coming motorcycle. It was Pvolt.

'Is he okay?' Arthit heard Volt asked.

"Yes. We're sorry.' Kai pulled down Kong to bow at Volt but Kong looked at Volt with such intensity which the older man noticed. 

'Hey Nong! You were the one who was in the way!' he chided at the junior. 

'We said sorry, didnt we?' Kai asked. 
'You said sorry. He didnt.' Volt countered.

Arthit ,who was still catching his breath from running, stopped abruptly beside Kong.

"NArthit, good. He's your junior right. Please tell him to be mindful where he is going and learn to apologize.' Volt demanded.

Arthit only looked at Volt and apologized.

"Why are you apologizing for him?" Volt's forehead wrinkled as he asked. But Arthit did not say anything else.

'Kongpob. Lets go.'
'I can take you home later,NArthit' Volt offered.
'No, Im going with my friends.' Arthit swiftly declined.

'Kong, you okay.' Arthit shook Kongpob by his shoulder.

' Yes, P. Please, PArthit, can I stay with you.?' Kong asked. Arthit sighed. 
'You know I have study session tonight, right?'

Kong's shoulders lumped.
'The way he is acting, you'd think we have not seen each other for months.' Arthit thought but smiled fondly at Kong's actuations, plus,  Arthit is powerless when Kong uses that pleading voice. 

'We can go home together." Arthit offered.

But Kong shook his head in resignation. "I dont want to intrude with your time with your friends,P."

"You won't Kong.' Arthit claimed.
"No P. I'll be fine. You study well for me?' Kong said with a smile that did not quite reach his eyes.

Arthit was about to say something about Kong's sad eyes when Prem called him.

"I'll go ahead, P.' Kong said.

He turned and saw that Kai is still watching them. Arthit squinted his eyes when Kai followed the direction where Kong headed.

Kai looked everywhere for Kong as the engineer was walking aimlessly when Kai followed after him.

From a distance, Kai saw the tv crew and Kong was about to step in the shoot. Kai ran but he was too late.

'Cut!' The director yelled.

Volt turned it was the same junior from earlier. He didn't even hear the director yell cut as the junior kept on walking.

'You again?'
'Oh. You're filming. I'm sorry.' Kong said.
'So you do know how to say sorry.' Volt said.
'I do.' Kong said while averting his gaze
'Okay. Just dont do it again.' Volt said.

Kong bowed. Kai just pulled Kongpob.
What is going on with him?

'Kongpob. Im driving you home.' Kai said, putting his foot down, this side of Kongpob is an accident magnet.
