The Whole Nine Yards

Chapter 2

Kongpob and his friends were their usual rowdy selves when a blur came running across the cafeteria to his back. Soon, Arthit who appears to be catching his breath, is standing in front of Kongpob.

' NongKong, your fann.'

' His fann. Oh yes, this person before him who is pink from running is indeed his boyfriend.' Kongpob thought with a smile on his face.

Then he noticed the teasing looks of his classmates. Oak is making faces on the side while the girls are looking back and forth between them, as if they would just spontaneously make out here.

'Down girls, this isn't yaoi.' Kongpob thought.

Suddenly, Kongpob seem to mirror the expression on Arthit's face, he's also clueless how to react.

' So you two will just stare at each other all day or are we going to eat?' Knot teased.

' Who said he can't join the fun?' Knot thought. It's not everyday they can see Arthit this flustered after all. Arthit glared at Knot who unabashedly
sniggered.

'Um, love is good but we need food, Arthit,' Toota consoled him.

' Lay off me,' Arthit shook them but his friends just laughed.

' We're ordering,' Bright declared.
' Bright! I'm not done with you yet!' Arthit called at him.

Bright just turned his gaze to Kongpob and back at Arthit, as if silently daring him, 'In front of your fann, really?'

Arthit stopped on his tracks. Bright snickered and started to leave.

'I'm gonna hit you Bri-' Arthit was about to lunge at him when,

'P'Arthit.' Kongpob called him

Suddenly, the cafeteria became silent in anticipation of what will happen next. Afterall, the headstrong freshman who caused so much ruckus in the hazing and has declared that he will make the Head Hazer his wife, is now dating him.

'Is it just me or it is getting hot in here?' asked one.
'Wow, you can cut the tension between the two with a knife'
'How can one stare be so hot and uncertain at the same time?' one student wondered.

'Yes?' Arthit answered.
'You ate?' Kongpob asked.

Kongpob's friends facepalmed. These. Two.Are.Hopeless.

'Was Kongpob listening? They just got here to eat.' Looking at Kongpob, Arthit realized, he is not faring well either. Weird, but it cheered him up. They are together in this, clueless and all.

'Why? Gonna feed me?' He snarked, suddenly finding his Head Hazer persona back.

The girls giggled while the others sniggered at his come back.

Kongpop looked surprised with his reply. But ever the calm one, he just tapped the vacant space next to him.

Everyone looked so giddy all of a sudden. Arthit whose brain is overloading, blushed. Leave it to Kongpob to turn the tables on him. Thus, Arthit did what he can only think of at that time,

' Don't start on me Kongpob,' he warned then he stormed to look for his friends.

Kongpob just smirked.

'Seems you can't function properly now, here.' Bright piled up food in front of Arthit as he joined them.

He looked up to Bright.

'Hey! I'm not that mean,you know. Plus, I notice things.' he said.

He chuckled and thanked him. But as he started eating, Bright held out a hand to his face.

'But I didn't say they're free.'

He kicked him under the table as their friends laughed.

'You can't take a joke today! Ow!' Bright cried out.
'Hey Arthit! Just eat. Man, you're so tensed today,' Prem intervened.

'So you've gone on a date with Kongpob yet, Arthit?' Toota inquired.
'Why are you so nosy,Toota?'
Prem asked.
'I was just gonna say, they can skip it you know and go straight to sexy times.'

Arthit choked on his food.

'This isn't one of your one night stands Toota.' Knot said to him.
'Well, I'm just trying to help them out. These two seem clueless.'
'So jumping to the bed is the solution?' Bright asked with wide eyes.
'Everyone felt that tension eh? Might help ease things out.' Toota just shrugged.
'You think Arthit can process that today? He already look overwhelmed as it is.' Bright said as he pointed at Arthit.

'ARTHIT. IS. HERE.' Arthit asserted as he is already fed up with the discussion. That seem to cut their conversation about his lovelife within the earshot of their nosy schoolmates no less.

Speaking of lovelife, DATE. Arthit  froze. Yes, he asked Kongpob on a date. He also officially labeled it as one. Why did he call it a date? They could have just gone on with the ruse of calling it 'buying something together.'

Now,  thanks to his own bravado, he can no longer hide behind the disguise that they just going to get something together. How do boyfriends even date? Heck, he never even had a girlfriend before. How was he supposed to know how take a boyfriend on a date?

Seeing Arthit unmoving and staring blankly at his food, Knot can only guess what is going on inside his head. After all, Kongpob seem to have the knack of messing with Arthit from day one. Now that they are dating, Arthit looks like he's been hit by a freight train that is Kongpob.
