It was a beautiful afternoon for Connor the patrol went well, no one was making noise and he bought a couple of new fishes (by a couple I mean 10).He was looking for Kara to break the news that he bought that many fishes and hoping he won't get murdered for doing so. The other two giant tanks they already have is already overwhelmed. They need to buy a new tank
He found her in the laundry staring and smiling towards the backyard next door. He called out to her to get her attention
"Kara?"
No answer. He tried again
"Kara?"
Louder this time
"kARA?"
Still her attention was at the window. He went towards the window to check what was sooo fascinating that she would pay more attention to it then him. And what he saw was just mind boggling.
He saw Juan, their latino neighbour, hanging up his laundry.......shirtless.
"Isn't he just hot?" She asked practically to no one cause she was too in daze to notice that Connor was standing next to her. Poor Connor was heartbroken but decided to play along and see how far she will take this. For now.
"Well I guess he is kinda good enough to be a small instagram model"
"The boy is shredded!"
That was the last straw for Connor.
"Kara? WhAt does HE have that I DON'T have?"
"*content sigh* washboard abs" her intention was probably not to answer his question cause clearly she still doesn't notice him and was still in daze.
"Cheese grater Jawline"
"wHAT?!" He. Was. Shook.
"Cutting board pecks"
"WHAT?!"
"Contoured Biceps"
"*Crying* Why iS life SOOOO UNFAIR!!!" And he goes running to Hank.
*Later that night*
After putting away the laundry.Kara went to the living room for the movie night and what she saw there was truly surprising.
Connor was crying on Hank's lap. And poor Hank just awkwardly patted his head and gave some 'there, there'.
"Hey Kara! did you cheat on mY SON?!"
"No why would I do that?"
"DON'T LIE! I SAW YOU OGLING ON JUAN THIS AFTERNOON!!!" He said while bawling his eyes out.
"Who's Juan?"
"Don't play dumb kid he saw you checking out that latino neighbour." Said Hank
"Checking him out?! When?!"
"*Crying* THIS AFTERNOON I SAW LOOKING AT HIM SMILING AND SAYING WEIRD STUFF LIKE 'cheese grater jawline' AND YOU DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE ME WHEN I CAME TO TALK TO YOU!!!"
"Oooh, thaaat. I wasn't checking him out. I was reading the weird gym membership ad that was plastered on the Van behind him. See?" Shows him the photo of the ad.
"Oh, but what about when you said 'Boy he is shredded' huh? Asked Connor who seemingly calmed down from crying.
"I Was talking about the man in the poster *points to the man in the poster* and was mesmerised by how he has gotten this shredded and lost 70 kgs in just two weeks!"
*Record scratch*
Hank and Connor was just sitting there feeling stupid. Kara gave Connor a smile and gave him a hug.
"*mumbles* I am sorry I accused you of cheating on me" he said in a guilty voice
"It's okay, it was just a misunderstanding. You have been crying a lot because of me do you want me to do anything for you?" She asked in a gentle voice.
"Anything?" He asked with puppy dog eyes
"Anything" she replied
" Good then, let's go and buy the new tank for the new fishies! I'll get the car ready!"
"Oh no." She regretted this decision but for now whatever keeps him happy.
