Back To Normal POV

My eyes travelled around the room and I forced myself not to sneer. I brought the flute of lemonade up to my lips and took a long sip. Aunt Ann and Grell were walking around socializing. The woman I had grown to love like a parent was smiling softly, yet falsely, and the red haired man was rubbing comforting circles into her back.

My eyes drifted away and over to my brother

My eyes drifted away and over to my brother. He was talking to Claude. Animating his words with frantic arm movements and hand gestures. His crystalline eyes were lit up with excitement and the butler had a calm half smile on his face. The man handed the blonde some lemonade and fixed his hat.

I traced my bottom lip with the rim of my glass as I glanced around for my sister

I traced my bottom lip with the rim of my glass as I glanced around for my sister. I found Lizzy talking some boy's ear off about anything and everything under the sun and almost laughed. The poor kid looked exhausted and I almost didn't blame him knowing how energetic the girl could be. She looked away from him suddenly and seemed to excuse herself. The boy sagged in relief as she pranced over to Mei-Rin.

"It seems you are the only one not socializing, sir"

"It seems you are the only one not socializing, sir".

I cast a glance at the butler with a frown, "Well your eyes seem to work fine".

"Yes well I've also noticed that you chose to wear the dress that Madam got for you," the man commented as I placed my empty glass on his tray and retrieved another.

I swirled the yellow liquid around in the glass before taking a sip, "Bravo, you have basic observation skills".

"Well at least I've gotten you to speak, I suppose that makes me special," he said fixing the tray on the pads of his fingers

"Well at least I've gotten you to speak, I suppose that makes me special," he said fixing the tray on the pads of his fingers.

"Don't flatter yourself, bitch," I grumbled making my way over to the snack tables.

I didn't see him again until later that night when he and the other two placed down their empty trays. The twins were quick to seize their servant counterparts and drag them out into the floor for a dance before the night were to end. The maroon eyed man held his hand out to me in an expectant way and I curled my lip at him.

People were staring at us. I had already gotten enough looks tonight for my attire but now this buffoon wants to make me the center of attention. My aunt and Grell joined my two siblings as a soft, slow song began to play.

I'll be the first to admit that my dancing skills were dismal. They were atrocious really. Even I could do a slow dance though. I took another sip of my lemonade and placed the flute down on the table. I took his hand and and he lead me out onto the dance floor. One of his admittedly large hands settled on my waist while his other held my hand.

I placed my free hand on his shoulder, "this means nothing, I still hate your ass".

He smirked, "Language, sir".

"Go fuck yourself," I grumbled and he blinked in surprise.
