So I leaned up and kissed him.

Thomas
I pulled Newt closer as I kissed him back with as much passion as I could muster. I never understood how it felt to want something so bad that it feels like you can't breathe until you have it. Until now. When we kissed before didn't even come close to now. Before we both wanted each other, but now I think we are finally ready to be together.
When we pulled apart we rested our foreheads against each other's. He kept his eyes shut as he tried to catch his breath. My mind was spinning and conjuring a hundred questions all at once. What did this mean? Does Newt want a relationship? Is he ready? What about Brenda? What will Minho say? What will our friends think? Our parents? Thankfully Newt stopped me from thinking to much about those questions by asking on of his own.
"How was that?" He asked softly, looking up at me with nervous eyes. My stomach was doing backflips, but I still managed a smile.
"It was great," I replied. He smiled up at me. God I love his smile. "Stop me if it's too soon," I began nervously, doubting every word, "but would you like to try a relationship with me?" That sounded so much better in my head. I mentally facepalmed and hoped for the best. Fortunately for me, Newt smiled shyly and nodded.
"I'd like that," he whispered as a soft blush spread across his cheeks. A wide grin spread across my face as I leaned in to kiss him again. I felt him smile against my lips. He's finally mine. I smiled into the kiss as well.
I don't know how long we spent dancing and kissing and just being together, all I know is that it was way too soon when my mom walked in and said it was getting late and that Newt probably needed to get home soon.
"I'll see you tomorrow love," Newt said kissing me on the cheek. I sighed.
"Okay," I said with a pout, "I'll see you tomorrow." Newt shook his head with a laugh.
"Bye Tommy," he said walking out the door.
"Bye Newt," I said before closing the door and smiling like an idiot. Teresa walked around the corner and saw me leaning against the front door with a big smile on my face and I saw her smirk.
"How'd it go lover boy?" She asked, her smirk never wavering.
"It was amazing T," I said not even trying to hide my happiness. She smiled and laughed a little bit.
"Are you guys together yet?"
"Yes!" I exclaimed happily. She laughed again.
"Mom!" Teresa yelled, "Thomas got a boyfriend!" We heard something break upstairs and then our mother's fast footsteps running down the stairs. Teresa and I broke into a fit of laughter as our mother rounded the corner.
"Oh Thomas I'm so happy for you!" She exclaimed pulling me into a hug. "Who asked who?" I blushed a little bit, but still smiled.
"I asked him," I answered, then my mom pulled my sister and me into a big bear hug.
"I'm glad you're happy," she said.

Newt
I walked home with a smile on my face. I didn't even realize I missed curfew until I walked inside and found my mom sitting at the kitchen table with an angry look on her face.
"Newt," she said sternly, "you are home almost an hour after curfew! Where were you!?" She didn't yell, she never yells, but she definitely wasn't happy.
"I'm so sorry mom," I said, "I was at Thomas's the whole time, I swear, we just lost track of time." She still wasn't happy, but I could see some of the worry leave her face.
"Newt you never break curfew, what were you doing?" She asked.
"I was teaching him to dance and then I kissed him and he asked me out and..." I trailed off looking at the floor, "...yeah." I heard her chuckle and looked up to see her shaking her head with a smile on her face.
"I hope you said yes," she said. I smiled.
"I did."
"Good," she said ruffling my hair, "since this is the first time you've broken curfew, and you had a good reason, I'll let you off with a warning. But don't scare me like that, next time I won't be as nice." I nodded. "Now off to bed, you have school tomorrow."
"Thanks mom," I said kissing her cheek, "goodnight."
"Goodnight love," she said as I walked up to my room.
When I got up to my room I got on my phone and changed my Instagram bio to the cliche thing people in relationships do with their partner's name and the date they got together.

I smiled as I took in the fact that he actually wanted me. And he was finally mine. Not even the nasty text messages from Gally and his new friends could ruin my night. I turned off my phone and got ready for bed. Laying in bed, I thought about Tommy. I thought about how I've never felt this way about anyone before, not even Gally. Thomas made me happier than Gally ever had in one day, and I was with Gally for a year. Maybe Tommy is the right one for me. I thought as I drifted off. I fell asleep and had pleasant dreams for the first time in a long time.
