Chapter 3:-
Aarzoo reached the restaurant a few minutes before 8 pm. Sure, she had let him choose the restaurant and the time but she was the one who asked him out, she should be the one arriving first. She had no intention of ruining her reputation further than she already had in Andrew's eyes. If she got a chance to work with him then she had to give him no reason to find faults in her.
She had chosen to dress formally for the dinner tonight. Straightening her skirt and smoothing her hair, she took a deep breath and entered the restaurant. After giving her name to the maitre d', she was led to a table which was outside, on the balcony. She was surprised to see Andrew already sitting at the table. So much for making a new, better impression on him, she thought to herself wearily. Squaring her shoulders she approached the table.
Andrew saw Aarzoo walking towards the table. He couldn't help but admire the grace with which she walked. He stood up as she reached the table and extended his hand towards her as she did the same and said with a smile," Mr. Andrew, thank you for accepting my apology and coming here for dinner tonight. I was afraid that you wouldn't come. Its a pleasure to have you here."
Andrew couldn't help but smile at herand replied, "The pleasure is all mine coffee girl . How could I not come?". He laughed silently to himself as he saw her expression change to one of irritation when he called her 'coffee girl'.
"Please Mr. Andrew,"Aarzoo said stiffly, as they sat down at the table,"Its Aarzoo and not coffee girl."
"Oh no! To me, henceforth, you will always be 'coffee girl' ", Andrew said with a grin.
Aarzoo couldn't believe that he was still stuck on the stupid nickname he had given her earlier. Two could play this game, she thought mischievously to herself. Andrew hesitated when he saw her eyes glinting with mischief.
"As you wish Mr. Armani suit. As long as you keep calling me 'coffee girl' I'll keep calling you 'Mr. Armani suit'".
Aarzoo watched with satisfaction as the grin was wiped off from Andrew's face. She was going to have as much fun at teasing him as he was having at teasing her. They stared at each other challengingly.
"What would you like to order, Sir? Madam?", a voice interrupted their trance-like state and they looked up to see the waiter waiting for their reply. They both shook themselves and looked at the menus kept in front of them. Andrew did not like the way the waiter kept glancing at Aarzoo. Oblivious to the waiter's glances and Andrew's apparent irritation at them, Aarzoo kept looking at the menu.
La cuisine happened to be one of those expensive french restaurants where the price of every dish was only printed on the menu of the host. Noticing this, Aarzoo immediately switched the menus before Andrew could take one look at it. Not that it mattered, he had been to this restaurant quite often and had always been the one to pay whenever he was on a date. With a sly smile he picked the dishes which were on the higher side of the price range. Expecting to see a slight hint of anxiety on her face, he was surprised to find none. She simply followed suit and ordered an extravagant five course meal.
