Chapter 2:-

Andrew couldn't stop glaring at the black haired woman standing in front of him. Aarzoo was patiently staring back at him desperately trying to hide her shock and forcing her face to look as innocent as possible without much success. So this is why she had lashed out at him earlier,  Andrew thought. He had been briefed about the subject of the presentation by one of the company executives before he had arrived. The project in question involved a significant amount of risk; should it fail the company would suffer major setbacks but should it succeed Lifelines Pharmaceuticals might just claim the title of the sole superpower in the world of medicine and drugs. No wonder the slender, brown eyed girl standing before him, had been a little unstrung. She had the tough job of selling her project to a room full of shrewd and astute businessmen.

Speaking of which, Andrew suddenly realised he was still standing at the door of the conference room. Finally snapping out of it, he went inside and took his seat. Mr. Simms motioned at Aarzoo to proceed with the presentation. She shook herself mentally and then began again.

"As I was saying, we request you all to go through the files given to you and decide whether to fund our endeavour or not. We would also like you to keep in mind that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for all of us. If we succeed to make the 'Miracle Drug' then the medical world could benefit greatly through it. After saying this, I would like to conclude by saying that we will accept whatever you decide. If you'll agree then it will be a pleasure to work with you, but if you'll disagree then Its been a pleasure talking to you. Thank you for giving us your time."

After receiving a nod of approval from Mr Simms, Aarzoo went to the end of the room to stand with the rest of her colleagues, awaiting the decision. All the Board of Directors and shareholders of Lifelines Pharmaceuticals put their heads together to discuss the proposition put before them. After a heated discussion, Mr. James, one of the shareholders, motioned for Aarzoo and her team to come forward. He said,"We have not yet come to a proper conclusion so you will receive a call from our company after a few days informing you all of our final decision. Till then, thank you and all the best."

Saying this all of them got up and started leaving. Aarzoo let go of her breath which she did not even know she was holding. Looking at her colleagues with a smile she said "Good work guys!". Zac, one of her colleagues and her closest friend, a sandy brown haired, blue eyed guy, hugged her and said," Congrats! It was all you girl!". Their other team members, Natalie, Lance, Shane and Melissa, all had the same expression of pride on their faces. Despite the fact that they did not get a definite answer, they were happy and proud that their presentation went well. At least they weren't rejected yet, so there was still hope and all of them were counting on it. Suddenly, Aarzoo realised that she owed Mr. Isaacs an apology for earlier and turned to look for him. Not seeing him in the conference room, she excused herself from her team and went to look for him.

"Mr. Isaacs! Mr. Isaacs! Please wait for a moment!", Aarzoo shouted at Andrew after spotting him walking towards the exit of the building. Andrew stopped and without turning around, said exasperatedly, "What is it now coffee girl? Want to spill something else on me? Or do you want to blame me again for something I haven't done?"

Aarzoo, surprised and embarrassed by this, halted a few feet behind him. With a determined expression on her face she exclaimed," What? No! I actually wanted to apologise for what I said and did earlier. It was entirely my fault and was wrong on my part to scream at you as I did earlier." Suddenly noticing the nickname he had given her she retorted,"By the way, I am Aarzoo Kashyap. Not coffee girl"

"Are you really apologising to me? Somehow I don't believe you. And i don't care what your name is, I will keep calling you 'coffee girl'", Andrew said, looking at her from over his shoulder with a grin slowly spreading across his face. "

''Its Aarzoo, Mr. Isaacs, and let me take you out for dinner tonight or whenever you are free, as an apology for earlier. So that you will believe that my apology is sincere. Please would you let me apologise by paying for the dinner?"

Andrew was amazed at her sincere apology and decided to humour her. "Fine, as your apology, I accept your offer for dinner and there is no better time as the present. I'll meet you at La Cuisine tonight at 8 pm. Good bye coffee girl.". Without waiting for her reply, he walked away, with a full blown grin on his face. Tonight was going to be fun,he thought to himself.
