Chapter 9:-
It was midnight already, but somehow Andrew couldn't sleep. He was tossing and turning, trying to get comfortable and fall asleep, but to no avail. Giving up, he got up and went to the balcony outside his bedroom. He had just loosely, wrapped a robe around himself. Feeling the cool light breeze on his exposed torso, he closed his eyes, enjoying it. As soon as he closed his eyes, Aarzoo's face flashed... Her expressive brown eyes, soft and long black hair, her lush red lips... "Ughh", he groaned. He couldn't get her out of his mind, even to fall asleep for a few hours.
All of a sudden, he heard his phone beep. He tried to ignore it at first, but his curiosity to know who had texted him after midnight, got better of him. Sighing, he went back inside. Picking up his phone, he was surprised to see the name of the sender. He couldn't believe that Aarzoo had texted him, and that too so late at night. She had asked if he was still awake. He felt slightly smug, thinking that even she was having a sleepless night. He couldn't help feeling the glimmer of hope in his heart while thinking that she too was thinking about him.
After mulling for sometime, he decided to call her. But when he did, he was greeted by a busy tone. He snapped his phone shut, feeling slightly irritated. Who was she talking to, so late in the night? Was it Zac or was it some other guy? He felt a small pang of jealousy going through him at the thought of her getting close to some guy who wasn't himself. Trying to calm himself down, he thought that maybe he was just jumping to conclusions, maybe she was talking some other friend or relatives from India.
He tried to convince himself that he would try calling her again after sometime. But due to his sour mood, he decided against it. Now it was her turn to approach him. He wouldn't make any effort to talk to her till she did it first. Thinking this, he threw himself onto his bed and slowly fell asleep.

Andrew woke up early in the morning and saw that he had a missed call. Aarzoo had called him sometime around 1 am when he was fast asleep. He was confused as to why she was awake that late at night. He thought of calling her then stopped himself from doing so. He was going to stick to his decision of letting her approach him first.
He got up to get dressed. Today he was going to his office which was in a different company. He was the CEO of Landmark Internationals and it was about time he focused on the affairs of the company. He had spent the past few days in Lifelines for Aarzoo but now he had to get back to focusing on his other companies. His secretary had called the previous night to inform him about his pending appointments which she had scheduled that day.
Andrew's secretary wished him "Good Morning", standing up from her seat, when he entered. Nodding to her, he entered his office. "Please send me the list and details of today's appointments.", He ordered his secretary over the phone. She came inside and handed him a sheet of paper and left. While he was reading the list, his secretary called to say, "Sir, your first appointment for the day has just arrived. Should I sent her in?" Andrew gave one more glance to the list and told her to send the person inside.

After going through at least half-a-dozen clients Andrew's head was already aching. The last meeting hadn't gone so well. He hated argueing with his clients, they could be so stubborn and hard to convince sometimes. He vaguely wondered if they did it just to get on his nerves. The fact that he hadn't gotten decent sleep last night wasn't helping either. He rubbed the bridge of his nose hoping that he may get few minutes of respite before that next meeting begins. As soon as the thought entered his mind, he heard a knock and a soft, musical voice said,
