Mike

I was waiting in the living room by the window, waiting for El. I looked over to my right and saw my dad sleeping in his lazy boy like he always is.

About ten minutes later El knocked on my door.

"Hi, Mike!" El whispered after I help my finger up to my lips and pointing to my dad sleeping on the chair. 

I grabbed El's hand and we tiptoed up the stairs to my room as my dad mumbled something incoherently in his sleep and turned in his chair.

Once we were upstairs I pulled out some notebooks and textbooks.

"So El, are there any questions you need to ask about any of your classes before we do our homework?" I asked her, admiring the way she scrunched her nose when she was thinking. 

"Yeah, just a few," she said closing her math notebook.

"Ok! Ask away!" I replied and taking a sip of my water.

"Ok, how do you get a baby?"

I choked on my water.

"Holy crap El, where did that come from!?" my eyes wide and wiped my face clear of the water.

"Well I was watching a soap at home and someone said they wanted a baby so then the went to their roo-" 

"NO, ITS OK YOU DON'T NEED TO GO ON!" I shouted and I instantly regretted it.

"Oh, I'm sorry Mike I just didn't," she began sniffling. 

"No no no El, I'm so sorry I shouldn't have yelled, your question wasn't one I was expecting, and it was just a question," I replied grabbing her hand.

"It's ok Mike, I can just ask Hopp-" she started.

"NO! IT'S OK I CAN..." oh shit what am I doing, "explain..." 

"Ok thank you, Mike!" she said grabbing my hand and moving closer.

"Oh my god, ok so um, so when two people really love each other they can decide to have a baby, um fuck  I really can't, er by doing uh stuff together." Jeez, Hopper, you taught her how to read and write and do math but you couldn't have included an hour of health in all these lessons?

"Oh, like this?" she asked and gently kissed my lips. She pulled away and smiled.

"Uh, well kind of, well not really its more... intense?" nope, nope, nope bad word choice Mike, I thought. Ugh, where is Nancy when you really need her? "Its just different, its called um sex and by doing, uh that, you can have a baby..." I swear to god, "I'm sure uh, Joyce can explain specifics to you later."

"So can we do the sex and get a baby?" she asked and smiled.

"UM UH WHAT!" I started, but then I saw her eyes grow wide with hurt, "uh, I mean technically, yes? But people don't have babies until they are uh, a lot older, and married. But, I promise to love you forever, and you know, once we are older, and married then we can have babies."

"Little Mikes and Els?" she asked smiling and laying her head on my shoulder.

"Yeah," I chuckled, "little Mikes and Els."

Els pov

After Mike explained (kind of explained) babies we started to finish our homework. After we were all finished we sat on his bed and were looking through some of his old yearbooks.

"Look!" I shouted and sat up straight as I saw a picture of someone who looked like Mike, but a lot younger. "he looks like you, Mike!"

"That is me when I was little!" he laughed, "look, and there's Will!" he said and pointed out Will, with the same haircut, but his face didn't look, as dark and sad.

"Is that what our babies would look like?" I asked, loving the idea of having more Mikes to love.

"Well, kind of." he laughed and smiled.

"I love you, Mike," I said and kissed him. I learned deeper into him and slid my fingers down his neck and around his waist. He put one hand around my waist and slid his other along my side and eventually set it on my knee. As I kept kissing him he began slowly sliding his hand higher on my leg, his fingers slightly tickling my inner thigh. As he kept slowly moving his hand it sent shivers down my spine, but the good kind and I didn't want him to stop. After a few minutes, his fingers finally reached the hem of my tiny black skirt closer to the fire growing in the bottom of my stomach. 

"MIKE AND EL! HOPPERS HERE!" Mikes dad called up the stairs.

 "Oh, shit!" Mike jumped up. 

"Come downstairs with me Mike!" I asked him and grabbed his hand.

"Um, yeah, ok," he said and quickly grabbed his notebook and held it in front of his pants. I'm not sure why...

As we walked downstairs Ted asked if I learned anything new.

"Yeah! Mike taught me about babies!" I said excitedly.

Ted scrunched his eyebrows and looked at Mikes red face.

"Uh, baby... animals!" he stuttered and gave me wide eyes, "baby animals for our metamorphosis unit in science, you know caterpillars, tadpoles." he quickly said, still holding his notebook in front of him.

"Ah, yes," he said, "well, it sure is fascinating," nodding slowly. "Well, have a good night El and tell chief the same!"

"I will Mr. Wheeler! Thank you!" I said turning to Mike. "Night Mike, I will see you tomorrow!" I told him and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before he darted upstairs and I went to Hops car. Boys are weird.

Mikes pov

As I darted up the stairs my dad shouted my name.

"Mike!" 

"Uh, yeah dad?" I said praying he didnt notice anything.

"No fooling around with El next time!" he said relaxing back into his lazy boy.

"Uh yeah, ok" I said mentally facepalming myself and running into the bathroom.
