Karen's pov

I quietly slipped out of bed while Ted continued snoring loudly. I slipped on a robe over my pajamas and quietly shuffled out of the bedroom. Down the hall, I saw all the doors closed, except Mikes, which was slightly cracked, which meant that El must've slept over. I told Mike that anytime she slept over that he had to keep the door open. I peeked through the door to see my beautiful son sleeping with his arms lovingly around his girlfriend.

I sighed, thinking about how Ted and I used to love each other like that, but like most things, it felt like a lifetime away. Even though my marriage maybe didn't end with as much love as it began with, I knew that as long as Mike treats her like a princess, like he already does, they would be just fine.

I walked downstairs and put on a pot of coffee, outside, even though it was only 7 am, dark clouds rolled over the skies indicating a stormy day. I poured a mug of hot coffee and turned on the living room t.v. and sat in the palely lit room watching the morning new's.

Mikes pov

I  woke up to Eleven peacefully sleeping under my arms. I woke up at 5 am to make sure I cracked the door open from last night before my mom woke up at 7 like she normally does. She told me that whenever El slept over that I needed to crack the door, but we're teenagers, you can't expect everyone to stay innocent forever. I wrapped the wrinkled sheets around our shoulders and I pulled her closer to me. I kissed the back of her head and her small curly tickled my nose.

"Mmh morning Mike," she awoke slowly and turned towards me and wrapped her arms around me.

"Morning love, did you sleep well last night?" I smiled and ran my fingers along the soft skin of her jaw bone.

"We really didn't do much sleeping last night," she smiled and ran her fingers down my spine.

"It was worth it," I smiled remembering our late night kisses and more, "so, what would you like to do today?" I asked her slowly sitting up.

"Well, since fall is almost over, I say that we go spend a few hours at the park, then we go get lunch," she smiled and rolled out of bed.

"Sounds good cutie, why don't we go downstairs grab some breakfast and we can head out later?" I asked her and pulled on a grey t-shirt.

"Well, I can eat but I probably need to home and get changed, and then you can come to pick me up at 9?" she offered and she walked towards the door.

We walked down the stairs hand in hand and I twirled her around as we walked to the kitchen.

"Morning Mike, morning El," my mom yawned and got up to grab another cup of coffee, "do you guys have any plans today?"

"Um, yeah we were planning on heading to the park later, and then grab a bite to eat afterward," I smiled and popped some toast in the toaster.

"Sounds like fun guys, but bring an umbrella, it looks like it may rain today though," she pointed towards the window and showed the grey clouds covering the skies.

Elevens pov

I brushed out my growing curls and pulled on my red converse when I heard a honk outside.

"Bye Hop! I'm going out with Mike!" I shouted into the kitchen.

"El! Wait!" he ran to meet me at the door, "don't forget a jacket, it's getting kinda cold, and an umbrella, I think it's gonna rain," he said handing me a grey knitted cardigan that Joyce got me and an umbrella.
