Angels have never lived human lives—except for two: Archangel Metatron, who was once the prophet Enoch, and Archangel Sandalphon, who lived as the prophet Elijah.

Archangel Gabriel was the one who told Mary she would give birth to Jesus.

Archangel Michael is considered the highest of all the Archangels.

Angels serve the Lord and carry out divine will on Earth (Hebrews 1:7, 14).

The word Archangel means "Chief Messenger."

While angels are often depicted with wings, the Bible does not mention them having any! Their winged imagery comes from artistic interpretation and tradition.
