“Mm.” you hummed as you curled up closer against the warm, snoozing form beside you as the cold morning crept under the blankets. Your mind was a bit fuzzy from sleep but slowly the wheels started turning. What time is it?

Feeling around, your hand bumps something and made it emit a faint blue glow. It was Sangwoo’s phone. It was 6:53. You sighed and turned off the device; it was far too early to be up. Or was it? Today is… a sickening feeling formed in your stomach. Oh shit. Today was Sunday. You had to be at work in less than forty-five minutes.

You quickly sprung out of the covers, waking up your lover up with a jolt. Quickly, you changed from Sangwoo's T you slept in back into your clothes from Saturday.

“What's the rush?” Sangwoo asked, unusually calm for just being startled out of sleep.

“I'm running late for work.” you replied, yanking on your skirt before looking around for your shoes. In your peripheral vision, you saw Sangwoo rise off his mat and move towards you but you paid no mind as you focused on getting ready. Luckily you showered last night so you weren't in dire need of one.

His arms wrapped around you and hugged you from behind. “Who says you get to leave?~” His voice was smooth as silk per usual but some tone underneath made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. If you didn't play this right, you wouldn't be surprised if he tried to make you his next bound bitch in the basement.

Smiling, you turn around to face him. “My job. But don't worry, I'll come home to you as soon as I can.” You gently placed you hand on his cheek and kissed him slow and lovingly. It was all to sell the lie. In reality you were planning on cleaning up your house so it didn't smell like shit after whatever this was was over. Though you weren't completely against the idea of it not being over.

“You should stay.” he said as soon as your lips parted.

You smiled: it was all too easy. With every word your tongue weaved a lie which had him happily hooked. You almost wished he'd present more of a challenge. Almost. If he was then it'd put you in a dangerous situation. Then again, when wasn't a little danger fun?

“I want to,” he was about to interrupt so you quickly continued, “but I have to go to work. If I just suddenly disappear from my life people would notice and would start looking. I want this here,” you ran your finger down his bare, muscular chest, “to stay our dirty little secret. No one will ever know what happened in that basement nor what I hope will continue to happen.~” You kissed him again with a hint of lust, reminiscent from the previous day.

The light brunet tried to deepen the kiss but you pulled away with a smile gracing your lips. “We'll have to continue that when I get home.~” You stepped away and slipped on your shoes before running out the door. Despite your careful words, you were almost fearful he'd jump you as you attempted to leave. Thankfully he didn't: it would be a horrible shame to end such fun so early.

You regretted not asking for a ride as you tried to find a cab back to your house for a clean pair of clothes. It was one more thing that took you longer to get to work. You hated being late.

After changing into your usual formal work clothes, you quickly make your way to work. It was about a five minute walk if you walked fast and already it was 7:26. Your first appointment was at 7:45 but typically you try to get there a minimum of fifteen minutes early to prepare. I can make it if I hurry.

You rushed pass by your usual café. Wait. You backtracked and looked in the window. He's here.

Biting your lip you glanced between him and your work less than a block away. Oh fuck it! you thought, walking inside the café. The bell jingled and the door swung close behind you.

After ordering a cup of coffee, you took it and walked over to him. He was busy reading the paper to notice.

“Mind if I join you?” you asked with a smile.

He looked up from his newspaper, surprised. “Sure.”

Your smile grew as you sat down. “Thank you.” He nodded in reply and sipped his coffee clearly trying to ignore the tension that would become awkward in about four seconds.

“What's your name?”

He looked up from his newspaper, carefully eyeing your perfectly placid expression. “Seungbae Yang. Yours?” he said after a moment. You could tell he was a skeptic and that amused you. Something told you he was something special and so far you were not disappointed.

“Y/n L/n. Nice to meet you Seungbae.”

“Likewise.” he said, still reading your expression closely. Had you been anyone else, you would have likely shied away from his hard gaze but to you, it was only one more reason to be drawn in. Sadly your time was extremely limited with you already being late for work so you had to make a connection and make it quickly.

“So, what do you come here for? I've noticed with my boyfriend that you often come in here alone and, pardon my bluntness, I personally can't help wonder if there isn't a better coffee route on the way to the police station.” Although Sangwoo and you had never said you two were actually dating, it was the easiest way to describe your relationship plus it casually implied you weren't interested in a relationship with him. If he was anything like you thought he was, you figured it would make him more curious about why you were talking to him.

“What?” he asked, clearly taken aback by your forwardness. You could see the gears turn in his head asking numerous questions about where he could've seen or met you before.

Waving aside his questions, you gave a small laugh to release most of the tension. “Sorry. Sometimes I just can't help myself. Let's start over. Hi, I'm Y/n L/n and I'm a psychologist. I've seen you in here on multiple occasions and noticed a sort of skeptic and analytic air around you. I find that fascinating and came over here hoping to be friends.”

“How did you know I was a policeman?” His interest was clearly peaked.

“I wasn't sure until now. Call it an educated guess.” You smiled before glancing at your phone. “Oh shoot, I'm late for work.” You looked back up to him as you stood. “Sorry to cut this conversation short. Maybe we can talk more tomorrow? Unless I've creeped you out, of course.” Giving him one more smile, you quickly walked out the door to go to your office. Something told you that this was the beginning of a very interesting relationship indeed.
