“Ooo.~ Now we have two pets to play with.~ What should we make them do, Sangy?”
Sangwoo still seemed irritated by your new nickname but that just made it stick harder. “The basement is not big enough for the two of them.”
My attic is less than half this basement and I still keep as many as two at a time, you thought, but of course you couldn't say anything since he didn't know about your attic space. “If you say so. How shall we kill her?”
“We? No. I want you to sit back and watch.”
“Fuck that.” You break away from him and pulled back on your clothes that he had stripped off of you what felt like moments ago. Grabbing a long philips screwdriver, you make your way to the gagged girl. She thrashed around, desperate to get away from you as she screamed into the duc tape for help. The bitch was too stupid to figure out thrashing wouldn't stop you and if anyone had been able to hear her screams they would've sent help already. But no. She was a lonely, pathetic dog just like everyone else. It would be amusing if it hadn't been so disgusting.
In moments you were upon her. You ripped off the duc tape to hear her screams before stabbing her in the gut, embedding the screwdriver completely.
“Ah-h! Help me! Please help me!”
Damn bitch, are you insane? You keep screaming help hoping for something but no one is coming. No one has been coming. No one will be coming. You stabbed her again, an inch over from where the silver metal had sheathed itself before. A warm body moved next to you and you glanced over to see Sangwoo. You smirked at him but he wasn't paying attention to you for once and you didn't blame him. His hands wrapped around her throat as she screamed at your puppy as if her obnoxious noise could bring him out of his slumber.
“Keep quiet.” He growled at her. She choked and tried to scream more only for the sounds to come out in a gurgled mess. Her body spasmed and you drew the screwdriver out of her body. You slammed it back down into her navel, wanting her to be still. Sangwoo untied her, freeing her throat just before she passed out, and she immediately began a feeble attempt to attack him. You stabbed her again, a little higher than before, and her attack was now turned on you. Sangwoo's hands went back to her throat, muffling her screams to Bum that had yet to stop. Her body flailed around more, trying to pull at his hands clutching her esophagus while kicking to get both of you off. You stabbed her again. Her efforts weakened even more. Before you even brought the tool down one last time, she moved no more. Sangwoo let go of her throat and you both sat back to relax.
“It’s nice and quiet now.” You smiled, looking over to Bum. You stood up, noticing the little stains of blood on your clothes as you approached your unconscious pet. Your fingers curled into its dirty locks and lifted its head off the floor. “You have such an adorable secret admirer. Don't you think?”
Sangwoo seemed unfazed. “He's hideous.”
“That's rude.” You let Bum’s head fall back against the concrete. “Do you think we could get it a collar?~ It is our puppy after all.~”
“No, that's stupid. We'll just leave him down here.”
It was a bit disappointing-you thought your new pet would look great in a collar and nothing else. Maybe a muzzle too, but it seemed so tame already it didn't seem necessary.
Sangwoo broke you from your thoughts as he guided you upstairs. “And Y/n?” he spoketh in a low, warning tone that made even your skin crawl.
“Yes?” You reached the top of the stairs and he turned you to face him. His strong hands firmly gripped your arms and stared into your eyes.
After what felt like the longest, most intimidating staring contest known to man, he finally spoketh again, “Don't allow him to touch you. You are mine. He's not allowed to even breathe near you.” His grip tightened, almost making you gasp in pain.
You laughed nervously. “Don't tell me you've fallen for me, Sangy.~”
He frowned and let go, turning away. “Of course not.”
For some reason, that hurt a bit. But really, what did you expect? Were you the one in fact falling for him? You paused for a moment, considering it.
Nah, you concluded. You weren't capable of loving. It was the psychopath’s curse. And you were definitely a psychopath.
You smiled brightly. “Good. Then it won’t matter what I do with anyone does it?”
His fist tightened but then relaxed. Instead of answering, however, he changed the subject. “Just go to bed.”

“So how have you been?” you said with a smile. Your index finger traced the rim of your hot drink as you looked across at your new friend, the Sexy Police Officer Guy (SPOG), otherwise known as Seungbae. To be honest, you were quite surprised to see him here the next day after your rather stalkerish-seeming first encounter, but he hadn't missed a morning coffee with you since.
“Fine. You?” He drank his coffee just like any sane person would, but you were far from sane.
“Fine? Is there nothing interesting at your work?” Although you did appreciate his straightforward no-nonsense kind of personality, sometimes you desired a little bit more flavor in your conversations than one word answers.
“No, not really.”
“What about your personal life? Do you have a girlfriend?~” you teased playfully, noting the light pink dust on his cheeks. Damn is he adorable, you thought. But you both knew the answer to the question-Seungbae was hooked on someone and wasn't interested in anyone else it seemed.
“No. How are things with your boyfriend?” he asked, quickly changing the subject.
“Well, as you know we've basically moved in together and now last night we adopted a cute little puppy.” Knowing him, you knew he wouldn't miss the “basically” you slipped in your sentence, which implied it wasn't official. But your whole relationship wasn't official so why would such an insignificant event be as well?
“A puppy? Do you think you two have been taking this too fast?”
“Yeah, the thought has crossed my mind.” You took a sip of your coffee. “It doesn't feel fast at all in the relationship. That's the strange thing. But…” Pausing, as if searching for words, you ended up just shaking your head. “Nevermind.”
“What?” Of course, Officer McCurious wouldn't leave it alone.
“It's nothing.” you said, drinking more of the bitter liquid. Seungbae didn't say anything but you could practically feel the wheels turning in his head. After a few moments-awkward on your part, thoughtful on his-you finally gave in. “Fiiine. It's just, we haven't said those words to each other yet.”
“What words?”
You refrained from rolling your eyes. “'I love you.’ We just haven't said them.”
“So why are you moving in and getting a puppy if you haven't even said those words?”
“I don't know.” you admitted. If he didn't love you, why did he always want you around and hated it when you hung out with other guys? If you didn't love him, why did you miss him when you were at work and became jealous when he was fucking that blonde? Sangwoo, a sociopath, may grow feelings for you but it was unlikely you ever would for him probably.
Seungbae was about to respond but you beat him to it. “ I should go. Bye.~” Standing up, you walk around the table before pecking him on the cheek. His hand immediately went up in shock as he turned pink. He may have wanted to say something more, but by that time you were already out the door.
(Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been stuck on this chapter. This is like the 4th or 5th time I've written it. I'm honestly still not super happy with it but I do know where I'm going in the next few chapters which means, hopefully, more updates. Hope it wasn't too shitty and thank y'all for your patience :)
