Click. Click. Click. You calmly stroll along the sidewalk to Sangwoo's home. It was a nice day out. Clouds dotted the sky and a cool breeze contrasted nicely with the hot sun. Even your work seemed to follow this path of peaceful bliss today. Although it had been boring per usual, it had also been a slow, relaxing day.
The gate creaked in a silent whisper as if not to disturb the peace when you pushed it aside. Closing it, you made your way to the door, each step moving you closer. The door opened, then shut. And you were inside.
Silence.
The house was empty. Or so it seemed. You paced down the hall, peeking inside doorways to see if anyone was home. Your final destination was the kitchen and still, no one could be found.
A smile graced your lips: you knew for certain where at least one person would be. Turning heel, you boldly walk into Sangwoo's bedroom and silently open the trapdoor in his closet. If your pet was sleeping, it would be a shame to wake it.
You peeked down, trying to discern its form only to come to the realization that it wasn't alone. Your pet laid groaning on the floor in utter anguish. From your spot on the steps, you could see its inflamed and purple ankles with bandages wrapped around them in a pathetic attempt to help. A bottle of pills shot across the room and hit your pet on the back, the small red and white drug spilled on the floor. Sangwoo, who had been doing push ups, cussed at your pet, wanting it to shut up. You didn't pay attention what he said, but rather watched his muscles contract and loosen as he nearly kissed the ground. He switched which ankles were crossed.
Only in shorts and tennis shoes, there couldn't be much more of a sight to see but all you could focus on was how the muscles in his back moved. You remembered feeling them move through those same motions before but it hadn't been during pushups.
“Don't you ever get tired of it?” Sangwoo stood and stretched his arms out, his fingers interlocked. “Whine, whine, whine.” He rubbed his neck, clearly exasperated at your little pet. “I guess you're not good at listening either…” The blond’s voice slowly faded as he stepped closer to the puppy. Bending over and showing off that fine ass to you, he picked up an empty can. Bum shivered, unaware of the approaching danger, and stuffed the fallen pills into his mouth, clearly desperate to numb the pain. So he’s not a masochist.
Ting. Sangwoo ripped off the lid of the empty can. “It’s already been a week. I even got you painkillers and bandaged it because you were bitching so much...” The tall male crouched over the curled up, anorexic figure. You couldn’t help but think they looked a little cute together. The contrast between them only made the idea of a relationship that much more intriguing, but the idea ignited a small flare of anger inside of you. “Aren’t you overreacting too much? Look at me.” The stronger man turned the weakling onto its side. It flinched at his touch but Sangwoo didn’t care and instead ran his hands all over the bony body of the puppy. The flame inside grew hotter at the contact.
“All skin and bones. Where's the fat?” The light brunet placed the can lid against the pale creature's skin. You couldn't take anymore.
“Hey Sangy.~ I hope you aren't having fun with me.” You smiled sweetly, too sweetly. It was the smile you had when you were about to rip someone's head off. Only your eyes betrayed your true emotions.
“You're home.” Sangwoo stated. His dark eyes focused on you standing in the stairway. The figure rose above your shaking pet and approached you.
“Getting a bit handy there, were you?”
“Don't tell me you're jealous?~” He teased, wrapping his arms around you.
“Of course not!” You scoffed indignantly, but you totally were. Why were you jealous? You couldn't even begin to fathom. What if… you were in love? Could you even be in love? No longer were you sure your heart was empty.
“Sure.” Sangwoo smirked: he knew the truth.
“Anyways,” you decided to quickly change the direction of the conversation before things became too personal, “I was wanting to know if you wanted to head out tonight. It's been a while since we've gone out.”
“It's a date.” He lightly kissed your lips. Your heart fluttered slightly in your chest.
Ack! I'm having a stroke! Quickly you grab Sangwoo tightly to stabilize yourself so you didn't fall down the stairs. He interpreted the message wrong and kissed you harder, taking your breath away. By the time he pulled away, you figured out you weren't actually having a stroke but the look in his eyes didn't help the feeling.
“With a kiss like that it seems you're more interested in staying in.~” he playfully said while brushing a strand of your hair behind your ear.
“You know, not everything is about sex.” you replied, trying to regain some of your dignity.
“Who said I was talking about sex? I was thinking like a home cooked meal.” Sangwoo smirked, recognizing he'd won.
“Whatever, let's just go someplace nice. You can pick me up in two hours.” Turning away, you retreated back up the last few steps. Just as your fingers grazed the lock on the front door Sangwoo grabbed your wrist and pulled you to his chest.
“At least let me drive you home to change.”
You shook your head. Walking cleared your head and your head was a jumbled mess from the emotions that had swept through you. Emotions you weren't used to. Emotions you'd never felt before. Emotions that you didn't believe you could feel.
“No. I enjoy the walk.” Before he could respond, you were out the door and gone.
