Alice's Point of View.

I practically ran down the corridor to Louis's room.  I was being followed by, a rather calm, Liam who decided to wait in Zayn's room until his mom got here.  Liam was always calm.  I finally found the room and I opened the curtain that was in place of a door.  He was laying on the hospital bed unconscious.  I don't know why the sight of him shocked me, I expected it, but actually seeing him so lifeless was horrifying.  I felt a tear fall off my cheek and went to sit next to him.  He had a bandage wrapped around his head and his hair and forehead were caked with dry blood.  I wondered to myself why they hadn't cleaned it.  He had a dark purple bruise on his collar bone going up toward his neck in the shape of a seatbelt.  I sat in the chair next to his bed and took one of his hands in both of mine.  The only sounds filling the room were the beeping of the monitor on the other side of him, his steady soft breathing through the small part in his lips, and my staggered short breaths.  I kissed his hand a few times as I heard footsteps coming towards the room.  They stopped and I knew someone was in the doorway.

"You know the doctors say he might be able to hear what's going on around him."  I heard the nurse's voice who had helped me earlier.

"Do you think he can?"  I asked, turning to face her.

"It's worth a shot."  She winked and walked away, leaving me alone with Louis.

"You better be able to hear me, or else I'll be talking to myself like a complete idiot."  I chuckled, clutching his hand tighter.  My voice was raspy from crying.  "It's not fair you know?  That this happened to you.  It's like the bad things always happen to good people."  I fiddled with his lifeless hand.  "You don't deserve to be lying here right now.  You never did anything wrong.  It should be that the people who hurt others are the ones who get hurt.  That's how the world's supposed to work, right?  Well it doesn't work like that.  People get away with awful things every single day and then people like you, good people like you, end up unconscious in some hospital.  It's just not fair."  I said to him as I cried and kissed his hand again.  His hand was big and strong and mine were little.  "Harry called your mom.  She's coming as soon as she can.  Harry was really worried…we were all really worried.  Lily, Danielle, Harry, and Niall are all in the waiting room.  Liam's with Zayn.  And I got stuck with you."  I laughed a little as I moved my chair closer to the bed and put a hand on his chest.  "We've been dating for a week, Louis. One week.  That's not long enough.  You can't be hurt, or have some kind of brain damage now.  You have to be ok.  For your sisters, for your mom, for Harry and the boys, and for me.  We all need you.  I need you."  I practically whispered.  I still doubted he could hear me a little bit, but it was all I had right now.  That and hope.  I just had hope that he'd be fine.  Like Harry said, he's always ok.

I spent about a few hours just sitting there talking to Louis.  He obviously couldn't talk back, but I thought he deserved some company.  No one should be alone when they're in pain.  It had been a while since the car accident and Louis was still unconscious.  Liam came in once and told me Zayn had woken up and he was alright.  That helped a little.  Someone also came in and told me what happened.  They said it was a drunk driver.  He was fine.  I didn't know how to feel about that.  Zayn's parents had shown up and were now with him, but we were still waiting on Louis's mom.  I was honestly just waiting for him to wake up, I couldn't think of anything else no matter how hard I tried.  I brushed his hair out of his face and as I did his eyelids started to flutter.

"Louis?  Louis, babe, are you awake?"  I asked, excitedly, but quietly clutching his hand even harder.  His eyes opened and his face furrowed in a combination of pain and confusion.  "Thank God!  Louis, thank God you're awake!"  I said as happy tears started to fill my eyes.  He cleared his throat.
