Chapter Nine

This is it. It's finally time to show Colby the building you and Sam thought he is gonna love. What's not for him to love about it? It's tall and abandoned. What's more for him to love? You have Colby close his eyes as you approach the building. Sam stops and puts the car into park, then sets the camera up. He turns it on, then we tell Colby to open his eyes. He opens his eyes, looks at the building, and smiles the biggest smile you have ever seen.
"Is that the building we are going to?! Do I get to climb that?!"
"Yes, Colby, you get to climb it." Sam says, laughing.
"YESSSSSSSSS!!" Colby carries out the 's'.
You guys intro the video, and explain that we chose this place specifically for Colby. You all get out of the car and walk towards the building. As you get closer to the building, it looks taller than it did in the pictures or even from the car. You can also see that the material it was made out of was decayed, and that it might not be stable.
"Colby, this building doesn't look very stable, maybe you shouldn't climb it.." You say, obviously worried.
"I think I'll be ok Y/N, trust me."
"I trust you, but not the building."
"I'll be fine." Colby says as he runs up some stairs he finds. Sam and you looked at each other, the same worried looks in your eyes. Neither of you wanted to climb it. Sam didn't trust the material either, and you were afraid of heights. You guys explored the first two levels as Colby ventured his way up to the top. We were showing the camera everything we say, even though it wasn't that interesting. We looked up to see if Colby had reached the top yet, the you and Sam both saw a sign. It said, "Unstable Building. Do not enter." You both tried calling for Colby, but there was no point, you weren't going to get him down. All of a sudden Colby started calling for you guys to look at him. You ran outside the building so you could look at the roof to look at him. He had the biggest smile on his face, he was enjoying every second he was up there. It broke your heart that you had to tell him to get down now, it's not safe. All of a sudden, you heard something that sounded like the building crumbling.
