*Skip to the end of summer*
Madison's POV
As I said the boys and I became best friends. Today Zach and I are heading home. We say bye to the boys as we get on the plane. During the plane ride we talk about how much fun we had this summer. When we get off of the plane Zach gets a text. He checks his phone and puts it away. My sister is picking us up to surprise our families. We weren't supposed to be home till tomorrow, but we came home early. We stop at Zach's house first and he walks through the door and yells "I'M HOME!" He is automatically smothered in hugs. We stay for a bit and tell them about the summer. Then we go to my house like 5 minutes away. I walk in and do the same thing Zach did and yell "I'M HOME!" My family does the same thing his does and smothers me in hugs and questions. We tell them about the summer and Zach asks his mom if he can stay the night. His parents and my parents say yes and we do what we do every time he stays. We go to the hill above the driveway, watch the sunset, and talk till my mom calls us inside. We start school in 2 days. We go inside and talk till we fall asleep. When we wake up we get breakfast. We spend the day watching movies and hanging out. That night we take Zach home. We end up face-timing till we fall asleep. I wake up to my alarm going off and get ready for my first day of school. I text Zach to make sure he is up. (He hung up on FaceTime after she fell asleep bc she fell asleep first) He is awake and ready surprisingly. We go to the bus stop and get on the bus and Zach and I sit together and talk the whole time. We get to school and get breakfast but instead of sitting with us Zach sits at the popular table. Ok. Since when did he sit with the popular kids heck since when did he talk to them. I think. I try to ignore it and sit at my regular table. At lunch he sits with them too. I was happy he was making new friends but with the snobby popular kids that have bullied me since my first day in middle school. I just don't get it. The bus ride is normal and i don't ask him about the popular kids. The main reason I don't like him sitting with them is because the Popular girl Kassidy who is basically leader of the popular kids has been all over Zach since his first few days last year. I try to brush it off but over the next few months he hung out with them more and was ALWAYS ditching me the day of our plans. Till Christmas day when I got the worst text of my life.
