Zach's POV 

I walk out of our room and Kay pushes past me. "By the way, yes I did threaten Madison. I started it. I thought maybe she would either listen or if she told you it would cause enough of a fight for her to leave you alone but I'm done with you Zachary" She says. 

"Good I'm done with you too. Give me your house key. Don't come back. We are done for good. I'm so tired of your shit" I say, putting my hand out. She scoffs and takes her key off slamming it down into my hand. 

"Good cause I'm not coming back ever" She says and walks out the door, making sure to slam it behind. I collapse to the ground, I let the tears fall down my cheeks. I throw the key across the floor. I can't even make out where it lands through the tears. I pick up my phone and start to dial Jonah's number but I stop. I really don't need an I told you so right now. I lock my phone again and let it fall to the floor. My phone starts ringing. I look down and see Madison's name. I take a deep breath to calm down but it doesn't help. I let her call go to voicemail and I text her.

---Beginning of Texts---

Zach- Hey not a good time can I call you back later?

Madison- I just wanted to apologize for earlier. I shouldn't have gone off like that. I know you were just going off of what you had heard from her. I should have at least tried to get along with her better instead of cussing her out. If you want I will come over tomorrow after I take Aleah to your parents and apologize to her. I want to try to get along with her. Not just for you but for Aleah she didn't need to see that this morning

Z- Its fine you don't need to come over and apologize

M- I know I don't need to but I want to

Z- Madison seriously you don't need to. 

M- I'm going to anyways. 

Z- No you aren't

M- Why won't you let me do this?

Z- Because she won't even be here for you to apologize to

M- What? Why? What happened?

Z- She left. Okay you were right everyone was right about her so will you just please leave me be. I don't want to talk to anyone right now

---End of Texts---

My phone begins to ring again and I see Madison's contact picture pop up. I answer. "What part of leave me alone do you not understand?" I say, tears still pouring down my face but I try to make my voice sound normal. 

"Zachary why would I leave you alone when you need me the most?"

"Because I told you to"

"And since when do I listen?"

"Never" 

"Exactly so I will see you in an hour maybe hour and a half tops"

"What no you don't need to come over I'm fine. Plus you have Aleah shes probably asleep by now."

"Yeah I do need to come over Z. I know you are crying you are horrible at hiding it. Abby and Daniel are on their way over to stay here with Aleah"

"You didn't tell them right?"

"No I did not its not my thing to tell I just told them we were going to work things out tonight instead"

"You are the best, you know that?"

"I do know that. Now Mr. Herron, pick out a few movies I will be over soon with ice cream and snacks."

"Thank you"

"You're welcome Z" She says and we say our goodbyes before hanging up. I get up and I go to the bathroom and wash my face. I change into sweatpants and a hoodie before picking out a few of our favorite movies. An hour later there is a knock on my door. I open it and Madison smiles at me. I give her a small smile and she comes in. She sets the stuff down in the living room and I follow her. As soon as her hands are free she pulls me into a hug. I break down again and we collapse onto the couch. She pulls a blanket over us with one hand and the other rubs my back, comforting me. "I know it seems like everything is falling apart right now but I promise you that you will get through this. I will not let you go through this alone. I will be here every step of the way no matter what Zach" 

I nod as I hug her tighter. We sit like that for a while till I calm down. She then gets up and turns on a movie handing me Oreos and ice cream. "Perfect breakup comfort food" I laugh when she comes back with spoons. 

"Obviously! You deserve only the best breakup foods" She smiles at me. 

"Aw thanks Mads" I smile back at her. We spend the rest of the night watching movies, eating, and talking. After a while we fall asleep and I had one thing on my mind. You still love her you idiot...

*the next morning*

Madison's POV 

I wake up and when I open my eyes I am met with the living room floor. "Ughhhhh" I say and I manage to get up. I see Zach passed out on the couch. "Seriously you managed to kick me onto the floor" I laugh. I get up and start to clean up things as quietly as I can. Once I finish I text Abby to let her know I'm alive and I will be home soon to get Aleah. I walk back into the living room and see Zach is awake. 

"Hey" I say and he jumps. 

"You just had to scare me didn't you" He smiles. 

"I didn't mean to" I laugh. "Just so you know you managed to kick me to the floor in the middle of the night"

"How do you know that was me"

"Just a hunch considering the fact that we are the only ones here." I stick my tongue out at him. 

"Maybe it was the not me ghost" He sticks his tongue out at me. 

"You just don't want to take the blame"

"Maybe maybe not" He shrugs, smiling. 

"Stubborn ass"

"Thank you very much" I shake my head at him. 

"I should probably go and get Aleah since Abby and Daniel have been with her all night but I will check on you later Z"

"You don't have to Mads"

"I know I don't but I want to. I want to make sure you are okay."

"I'm fine"

"Don't pull that card with me Zachary. I know you better then that"

"Ugh fine"

"Thank you" I say and we say our goodbyes. I grab my stuff and I head back home knowing Abby and Daniel are going to question me as soon as I get there.

"Madison June Grant where have you been?" I heard as soon as I stepped in the door. 

"Zach's I told you I was going there last night"

"Yes I know but I was not told you would be there all night"

"I know I'm sorry"

"I thought maybe Kay murdered you or maybe you got kidnapped again it already happened twice now"

"Abs I'm sorry it won't happen again"

"You had me worried sick"

"How many times do you want me to apologize?"

"It's okay Mads just next time text me please"

"I will try"
