The two lifted off their covers and got out of the floor bound bed. they both stretched, and Mark massaged his aching eyes, but almost instantly his hunched expression turned into his natural exquisite façade that added to his esteemed gentleman like fashions.
"Right this way we'll go into the first uninhabited room." Mark said pulling Sheph by the wrist into the wall. Sheph felt his entire body emigrate into a new room. In doing this he awkwardly fell against Marks body, which nocked him to the floor as if he had just thrown himself into a tree. 'It's like his presence alone acts like a body.' Sheph thought to himself as he stood up. Finally able to look around him he realized the new room he was standing in looked larger, and had a completely different feel to it. Lining the sides of this new room was counters, and a fridge. 'This must have been the kitchen Kyle cooked us all dinner in.' Sheph thought as Mark walked towards the fridge. Sheph watched as the Jackal mischievously reached in and grabbed a bar of chocolate out of it. Little did he know, but from were Kyle was sleeping. He was awoken by the feeling of someone entering the kitchen only he was allowed to. Only because last time someone walked in it was Nik, and he got drunk and ate all the food by himself..... Kyle gritted his teeth, and closed his eyes, knowing that he couldn't get up without waking the big panther that had his arm wrapped around him
"I know it's literally the worst time to be eating this but." Mark opened the chocolate, and threw the wrapper in the bin next to him. Breaking it in two he handed a half to Sheph who gladly excepted. Sheph noticed Mark's gentleman like fashion quickly deteriorating as they left the kitchen. Maybe he was just tired, or maybe; hopefully he was warming up to Sheph more. Sheph quickly realized that the room they were being pulled into wasn't the original, but instead a very old space. Sheph flinched back at the bunches of people standing above them- wait.
"Like the armor?" Mark asked with a bright grin. "Maybe I should've told you." He thought aloud for a moment before continuing farther into the room. Sheph followed feeling incredibly uncomfortable with the armor. He liked to think nothing scared him, but if something did... It'd be manikins.
"There's stuff here from back when we the groups just started centuries ago." Mark said, barelly attracting SHeph's attention, his next words did however, after a rather long silence.
"Wanna try one on?"
"Yes" Sheph said quickly causing Mark to laugh.
"Pick one out then." Mark encoraged. With surprise Sheph looked back at him.
"Any?" He asked cautiously. Mark laughed again.
"If they let you." He assured. Sheph looked at him sideways before looking up at an armor, which waved an empty hand at him. His Jaw dropped slightly as he waved back weakly."Are you sure?" Mark asked stepping up onto the platform of a rather simple looking armor with a wooden casting going along the side of the face plate along with a couple other wooden highlights, Sheph nodded as he looked at it. Somehow it seemed to match the the black cobblestone like wall behind it. Mark's attitude seemed to be overcome with melancholy as he lifted the armor off the rack. Enough for Sheph to notice, so he asked.
"Does this one mean anything to you?":
Mark laughed a bittersweet laugh as he laid it on the ground, and began to undo clasps, and straps.
"It means too much to me." He replied in a whisper without looking up. Sheph just barely heard it, and his eyebrows rose, should he ask? For now he shut his mouth. Mark finally looked up at him. He grinned a hollow grin, and raised an eyebrow.
