Something Better

Chapter 25

"Now it almost looks like two of my audience members are trying to exit the dance floor before I'm even in tune." 
Nik and Autzen froze in their tracks as a far too familiar voice filled the speakers. Mouths agape they both turned to confirm their suspicions, and to their utmost surprise from across the dance floor Kyle looked down at them with a smirk. 
"Now me and Phin here plan on ending the night with a classic for y'all." Came Kyle's extra charming voice as watched Phin stand with the rest of the band behind him. He held the mic loosely in his hand as he waited for the band to finish setting up. His eyes seemed to sparkle for a moment with devilish intent as he gazed over the crowd. 
"So you best enjoy." He finished. He glanced at Phin who seemed to mouth something that looked like 'ode to bouncer?' In response to which Kyle nodded with a smug grin.

Mark and Sheph danced like no one was watching. Their bodies moved with each other and their lips were inches from touching the entire time. After much pleading from the crowd Kyle agreed for another round of songs which he begrudgingly agreed to. The two laughed and enjoyed every second of it just like the rest of the crowd. Even far in the corner Autzen watched with a hint of a grin.

Eventually after a lot of dancing and a lot of shenanigans the music stopped and people started to exit . After a huge round of applause for Kyle and the rest of the band they hopped off the stage and dispersed into the crowd.

"So," Mark said in-between pants as looked into Sheph's eyes. They were both panting slightly and pretty buzzed.
"You guys getting a room?" Kyle asked as he walked through the crowd to them. Sheph lit up at the sight of him and put up his fist for a fist bump. Which Kyle awkwardly obliged to. 
"Trust me the beds are far more comfortable here then on the ship." Kyle continued as Phin slowly made his way over.
"Yeah? Mark perked up at this. He was already starting to get sore from the dancing. He looked at Sheph who nodded in agreement. "Why not?" 
Kyle grinned and held out a key as if he already knew their answer. Mark took it and watched as Phin whispered something like 'did you give them a quiet frame?' to which Kyle nodded as he turned away from them.
"Well you two have your fun. The rooms are just over there." He finished with a limp gesture towards a door near the bar. 
"Ready for bed?" Mark asked they made their way to the door. Sheph grinned for a moment as he thought about his answer.
"Depends."
