Worry filled Mark's head the moment his feet touched the ground outside the spires of rock. He knew the area was renowned for it's confined nature . The species inhabiting them despised immigration at the risk of tainting the ecosystem. Which was ironic considering the neighboring town had a very popular jump gate, a main source of transportation to other lands-
"Oh no, he couldn't have." Mark thought suddenly, picking up his pace.

Sheph stumbled through the town. His eyes burned from the tears he'd just shed, and immediately he was noticed by bunches of people that mirrored the savanna like feel.
Trees dotted the sides of the dirt roads that Sheph walked down along with a multitude of others. However He barely noticed any of them, with his eyes glued to the road before him he couldn't of noticed the group of  people that had been eyeing him since he entered. They followed him from afar as he walked.

The minute Mark entered the town tension set upon him like a pack of dogs, but he couldn't let that phase him as he almost jogged through the small road. Clearing his throat, and pulled up the jackets collar.
His eyes flicked around the road in any attempt of finding his friend. Finally they landed on a distant figure, walking in odd patterns.
"Oh god." Mark whispered as he noticed the small group of people that trailed behind the both of them, readying to throw them out. Most likely in a violent fashion. Mark quickened his pace until he came upon a frail looking Sheph.
"Let's go." He whispered grabbing onto His wrist. Sheph retaliated by pulling away, obviously frightened as he was pulled out of his own world of conflict. Without looking at Mark he whispered.
"I need a phone."
"Sheph I'm right here."
"I-I need a phone." He whispered again pulling away from Mark, 'can he even tell its's me?' Mark suddenly thought. The group behind the had started to gather, and out of fear Mark grabbed Sheph's wrists again, and started to shake them.
"Sheph we have to go." He urged pulling him roughly through the crowd of approaching citizens. They all turned to look at the pair angrily, but to their surprise.
They were gone.

The two landed on the grass a fair distance from the town, and Mark immediately grabbed Sheph's paws, and turned him around. looking him in the eyes.
