"What is it, Phin."
"Hey-" came an exasperated voice. "No need to sound so dead. I'm only calling because-"
"I'm going to be in the area until midnight, but if you're looking for your jacket it just left." Kyle replied quickly. His ears rang with a persistent sting that seemed to feel as if it was pulling his skull in on itself. Because of the yelling he'd gotten a headache that quickly grew into a migraine. On the other side of the line Phin could be heard sighing.
"Well if you want to drop by you know where I'm at." He said in an almost defeated tone. He expected Kyle to hang up abruptly, but surprisingly he was able to finish his sentence before the phone call ended with a 'click'. Kyle shoved the phone back into his pocket with a loud sigh and slowly began to steer the skyship around. Them movement got the attention of Nik and Autzen who both turned to watch Kyle curiously as he seemed to have a quiet verbal fight with himself. Turning the ship back around in the direction it previously had been facing in a fit of inner turmoil.
Nik scoffed at his indecision and turned towards the exit to the rear balcony for an afternoon smoke; leaving Autzen to step forwards. He stuck his head around the chair to try and get a glimpse of Kyle's face before continuing.
"You seem just as lost as us right about now." He finally said as he got closer to a now seemingly calmer Kyle. He was proved wrong though as Kyle quickly retorted.
"You'd think I'd know where I was going considering I lived here for a short time." He commented aggressively yet distantly as he finally made up his mind, and began to steer the skyship in a new direction as Autzen decided to prod a bit further now that his interests had been perked.
"When did you ever have the time to live here?" He questioned, "Last I heard all you did was train with your teacher, then depart to go find us." Autzen recounted doubtfully. This seemed to lighten Kyle's mood for some reason as he began to grin.
"Coming here was part of a mission, and one that turned out to be a very special one at that.." He stopped suddenly and realized what he was saying. The reminiscent grin disappeared and he put his focus back onto the controls and chuckled quietly.(Hint Hint on what may be to come in the future? Comment if You'd like some Kyle/Phin backstory in a separate story!)
"Maybe another time I'll explain. We're here anyways." He said as the ship began to descend. Autzen could only guess the story involved meeting Phin however he was distracted by the building that greeted him.
"Why are we at a night club?" He asked skeptically. Kyle rolled his eyes and stood up from the pilots chair.
"I'd hardly call this a night club, It's more of a...." He paused as he walked towards his back room, "An Inn, diner, nightclub combo of sorts." He finished haphazardly as he exited the room leaving Autzen to try and imagine what was even happening. At that moment Nik entered the skyship excitedly.
"Who took us to a nightclub?!" He exclaimed excitedly as Kyle entered the room once more in what looked to be a baggy dark purple hoodie that covered a good amount of his body. He growled in annoyance and pushed past Nik as he moved towards the door.
"You two can wait until the sun sets before you walk in." He said in a warning tone that made Nik groan in displeasure.
"That's such bullll!" He exclaimed as Kyle walked out of the ship. Silencing any further complaints, and after a few short steps across some cracked concrete he was before the neon sign. He chuckled a bit at the memories that flooded into him before walking past it and into the building.
