(Flashback continues)
The sun shines bright threw the slits of my window, blinding me as I roll over. I sigh, and stand on wobbly legs. Stretching till my tail shakes.
"How is it only 9?" I think out loud, yawning as I do so. I shake my head, and gather my thoughts. I walk to my door. Eyes still half closed, picking a candy bar off the floor as I leave. Coupling it with a disposable comb hanging from the basket which was anchored to my wall by two thin nails. Shabby.
I reach my door, and immediately spin on my heel; just now realizing I forgot my shoes, and my hat.
Fuck Nik, come on bro. I think, annoyed at my incompetence.
I sit back on my bed, and pick threw clothes on the floor, searching for any matching shoes. I nibble on the stale candy bar as I find a match, and slide them onto my feet. I grab my hat, and some sun glasses before stepping out into the blinding sun.

I'm wearing a black tank top, imprinted with a red logo that represented no sentimental value. Along with fairly tight shorts. Black also. Finally my hat, which oddly enough, was black as well.
I should just accept I'm gonna burn alive now rather than later.
I think to myself glumly. The sun was really affecting me today, and no matter how hard I tried. The dull ache in my head would not loosen its grip on me.

I sigh, and strut out of my door, scanning my perimeter.
"Wonder if the teachers are gonna have the balls to scold you for skipping." Came a voice, I didn't look at the perpetrator. Instead I reply with a grin, exposing my large canines.
"Ha!" I scoff, "they gotta know by now, I don't care about anything they say." I say with amusement.

Out of the corner of my eye I see Even. Our eyes meet, and he instantly breaks the stare, before walking the opposite way as quickly as his legs would carry him. I glance at the lizard next to me. We grin at each other, and I follow, taking a different route then him.

I wait near the corner for Even to take the turn. As he does, I do to. Purposely slamming into him. He gets sent to the ground hard, and to my surprise he looks up at me in anger. A flash of surprise, and confusion flash through my brain. Coupled with pain, I shake my head, and cough. Grinning as he stands.
"You should really watch your step." I comment. He looks at me, annoyed. But I take a step towards him, and responds by scrambling to his feet.

"Fuck off." He retorts with quiet anger. I take another step forwards and grab him up by the collar. Which rips as I slam him into the wall. He gasps as the air is ripped from his lungs, I'm angry now. The passing period bell goes off and I see shapes in the sides of vision.
"Maybe you should stop talking for awhile" I say angrilly. Around us a large ring had formed. I raise my left fist, and pull it back far. Even's eyes close as my fist comes at him.
Pain streaks through me.
My fist is stopped in it's track.

I look over at a wolf I've never seen before in my life.
He has a pained expression on his face, yet his eyes look bored.
He is leaner than me by a little, and a barely any taller. I drop Even onto the ground, and the wolf let's go of my arm.
"Back off buddy."
(Ends)

The movement of people stirred Nik's attention away from his daze, and back into the present as he watched the crowd slowly pull apart around him. To his left Autzen was staring at him with uncertainty.  Nik smiled weakly in response.
"Are you fine enough to make it to bed? You looked like you were somewhere else just then." He commented. It really was odd for Autzen to be this attentive towards another person. Especially Nik, but it wasn't bothering him right now. and he certainly wasn't going to point this out to Autzen's face. Instead, he just shook his head and allowed Autzen to lead him into the night air once more.
