Hoping for a better day I walk into school excited to see Mi-young. I'm glad I made at least one friend as fast as I did being new to the school. She definitely makes coming here tolerable. We meet at the gate and enter to walk to class together, suddenly I'm on the ground.

"Oh sorry I didn't see you there." I look up  to see Hae-jin smirking.

"Yah! You jerk we all know you did that on purpose! Aigoo Soo-min, are you alright? Should you go to the nurse?" She asks helping me up.

"Ani, let's go." I smile.

The lesson today is easy but boring, next week we have a test and partner project. I can't help but space out while the teacher is talking. Did Hae-jin really trip me on purpose? Did he really not see me? Why would he trip me? What did I ever do? A nudge on my elbow breaks my thoughts and of course it's Hae-jin.

"Give me a pencil." I look and I can't I can't help but scoff at his request considering what he did this morning. I turn my attention back to my work and he nudged again but only harder "yah, I said let me borrow a pencil" he whispers loudly.

"Well I don't have one for you to borrow." I roll my eyes. He takes my pencil bag and starts going through it. "Give it back while I'm being nice. Didn't you hear me? I said give it to me." I say through my teeth trying to grab my back and he push my forehead with his finger. "You little-" I begin to yell but Ms Kim slaps her podium with her ruler and we both freeze.

"The two of you in the hall, arms up, go." I look at her in disbelief, I'm actually in trouble. "Now!" She yells and we both do as we're told. We stand beside the door and hold our arms. After two minutes my arms are stiff and tired, I look at Haejin who isn't showing any signs of pain like am, just a straight dull face.

"This is all your fault." I say under my breath.

"Well you should've let me borrow a pencil like I said." I scoff again.

"You think your so entitled, why would I lend my pencil to a jerk like you? Maybe should be prepared instead of asking me." I start to shuffle my feet and wiggle around to try to distract myself from the burning in my arms after holding them up for fifteen minutes now.

"Will you stop your whining and be still?!" I shoot him a glare and he then drops his arms.

"What are you doing your supposed to keep them up."

"Who's watching" He says and I look at both ends of the hall, not a teacher insight and I then drop my arms. After about fifteen more minutes the bell rings and the teacher opens the door and we quickly shoot our arms back up.

"Next time I won't be so nice, get to lunch." She tells us and we both walk off. I go to the rooftop again and lean on one of the beat up desks.

"I already told you that this is my spot, are you stupid, deaf, or you just choose not to listen? Go away." I turn and walk towards Haejin, I let out a hard sigh.

"What exactly is your problem with me I haven't done anything so why are you picking a fight? Why are you like this to me? And this isn't yours I can be here too, I don't need your permission, alright? As you know I'm new here and this is only my second day and there's already difficult for me, I don't appreciate you getting me into trouble along with your awful attitude. I was going to let it go but I can't stop thinking about it. Why did you trip me this morning?" I cross my arms.

"Because it's fun, now go." He pushes my forehead with his finger again.

"Weren't you listening? You don't tell me where I can and can't be, this isn't only for you now stop it." I grab his wrist. "If you keep treating me like this I'm really going to get angry so I suggest you stop it now while I'm asking nicely. Don't test me Lee Haejin." I say between my teeth with a fake smile as I tighten my grip and twist his wrist. He groans in pain and crouches down lower and lower as I hold tighter and tighter. "Let's get along from now on, okay?" I say and leave the rooftop.

Mi-young and I sit together for lunch again and we make weekend plans.

"It's unfair that you got in trouble because of him, what else did you do? Did he try to hurt you again after?"

"Nope and he never will, I made sure of that. Are you sure he used to have friends?"

"Yeah we were all close with him. Like I said, he was really social, he talked to everyone and everyone really liked him." Ugh it's hard to imagine that he was tolerable, he's such a jerk and I'm dreading fact that I have to work on this project with him.

"Um Mi-young I'm sorry but can reschedule our sleep over? I forgot that I have to take care of some things and settle in still. I'm really sorry." She nods and we finish our lunch.

After school I rush to get her home and go into my room to write in my diary. There's a knock on my bedroom door and I let out a hard sigh in annoyance.

"Come in!"

"How was today?"

"Like I said last night he's a jerk, he won't change. You won't believe what he did this morning! He tripped me on purpose and then tries to boss me around and scare me. You don't even understand how terrible he is! I don't want to do this anymore. Chang-soo lets just leave, let's just get another assignment hm?"

"Soo-min you know we can't do that, ahjussi requested that we do this. Suck it up and do what you're told so we can leave, alright? You can't waste any time. You have four months."

"Araso, araso, Just go."
