We sit in our usual spot in the cafeteria and begin to eat our lunch two boys join our group, one sits beside me and the other sits beside Mi-young so now we're sandwiched in between the boys. I've seen them before but I never made it around to talk to them

"Oh, Se-joo? Do-hwan? What are you two doing here?" Mi-young asks cutely. I've never noticed it before but she's really pretty and has the cute girl image that the boys seem to like. She's so adorable.

"It seems that Hae-jin is feeing social again so we thought we would join you guys." They both look at me.

"Ah I know you. You're famous for being around Hae-jin and Jae-suk."

"It's nothing like that. This is so exciting to have so many friends now!" I say with a beaming smile.

"But I'm the best right?"

"Of course! Mi-young will always be my number one, I love you!" I cheesily say throwing up hearts to my fingers then she sends some in return and the guys cringe and groan. Just as I'm about to eat my food, Hae-jin picks my seaweed off of my rice and eats it as if it was his to start with. "What are you doing? That's mine, when will you stop eating my food?" My eyes move down to the slices of kiwi that he hasn't touched, "then can I have that?" I say cutely pointing at the fresh fruit hoping that he will give in. He points and the kiwi and I shake my head like a puppy excited to receive the fruits in exchange for what he took from me. I'm instantly thrown off when he shoves them all in his mouth and I feel like I was played. All that acting cute stuff went to nothing. "What the heck, why act like you were going to give it to me when you were just gonna eat it all anyway?" My bottom lip pokes out. Jae-suk gives me his and my face lights up like a child again. "You mean it? I can really eat this? You won't take it back?" He shakes his head and I take a bite of the sweet fruit.

"What are you doing?" I'm confused as to who Hae-jin is talking to, our focus turns towards him and Jae-suk. "You sure like to throw yourself into things when no one asked you, it must run in the family or your dad taught you well."

"All he did was give her some fruit, why bring family into this?" We're all suddenly really uncomfortable and waiting to see what will happen next, Jae-suk slams his spoon and chopsticks on the table then they both stand from their seats at the same time beginning to draw attention from others.

"What did you just say?" Jae-suk says between his teeth.

"Se-joo is right, you shouldn't have said that, you two should just stop it now and sit down." I try to calm them down but they're only becoming more hostile. I excuse myself and make my way to the rooftop just to get away from them, the breeze from up here feels cold and sharp as it slightly lifts up my hair from my shoulders. The flowers and plants are still pretty and vibrant just like the last time I was up here but the weather doesn't feel as warm and refreshing like it used to. When our lunch break is over I make my way down back into the hallway. Everyone is chatting amongst themselves as they gather back in the classroom. Before I can fully enter Mi-young holds her arms blocking my way, I move to the side and she follows. I move to the other side and quickly move back and she falls for my trick, my eyes lower towards my desk and I see a bunch of scribbles on it. When I move closer to analyze it, the scribbles turn out to be mean words. Shameless, bitch, two timing whore, and a lot more is written in black ink. The fact that someone cowardly wrote these awful things about me made me boil, but I can't do anything about it. What would I tell the teacher? "Some anonymous person vandalized my desk please punish them." or "I hope that who ever did this chooses to be a good person and come forward." On the way back from getting cleaning supplies I think Jae-suk and Hae-jin are trying to speak to me but I'm too frustrated to care.

After school Mi-young walks me home, she give me a sympathetic look. I know she wants to be a good friend and talk about and see if we can catch the culprit but I ensure her that everything is okay

"Well then if you're really okay I'll let it go. Oh before I forget, do you want to sleep over tomorrow? We're celebrating at my house."

"Celebrating? For what?"

"Tomorrow is my birthday!" We both cheer and squeal like excited little children. I confirm that I'll be sleeping over and send her off. When I get inside the house, I rush to my room to start brainstorming on what I should get as gift.
