Every time Tae leaves the hospital, he hopes that he won't have to come back again. That it will be the last time.
However, the past couple of years since he has gotten sick have been filled with him going in and out of the hospital for tests and treatments that all wear heavily on him.
He hates it when people ask him about his...condition. Of course, people grow curious as to why he can't leave the house some days and why he stays at the hospital from time to time and the other oddities of his life. It's not their fault, but it's not his either. When they know, he's just the sick kid. Fragile. They start avoid certain words and become more stiff. Like he's not really a person anymore.
So Tae never tells anyone. It's his little secret.
He's content to go back to school today. He's guaranteed to be able to spend time with his friends.
Plus, maybe he'll get to see Jungkook.
The only sense of dread is having to come up with an explanation as to why he's missed the pass couple of days. No one normal is sick this often in the year
Still, he's excited to have a day of freedom. Today he'll certainly check something off his bucket
So he grabs his book bag and heads out, kissing his mom on the cheek before leaving for school.
He has no idea Jungkook hasn't stopped thinking about him nor did he see the younger's recent post.
As silly as it is, Jungkook waits out front while skimming through a volume of Death Note. Suddenly he feels someone's warm breath on the back of his neck.
"Your voice is in my head and I like it," a voice whispers.
He turns around smack Yoongi on the arm who can't help chuckling. He only laughs harder as Jungkook gets more annoyed at him.
"Who was that about anyways?" he asks.
The younger shrugs. "Just someone."
"You should hear all the freshman girls. Oh, I hope Jungkook oppa is talking about me."
Jungkook hits him with his book flustered.
He suddenly looks up and sees Taehyung walking over to the school entrance. Today he's simply wearing a jean jacket and a black mask, but he looks like a model anyways.
