Tae,

I'm sorry I couldn't stay. I'm at the hospital for most of the day today, so it looks like you have to battle your hangover alone.

Drink water. Take medicine for your head. Don't eat ice cream for breakfast. Have an avocado or something like that when you're ready to eat.

If you remember last night, don't worry about it. Really. I didn't mind. And if you don't, also don't worry about it.

Also, your mom knows you were drunk last night. Sorry. I tried to help you conceal it, but you didn't want to shut up and go along with it.

I'll call you later if you're feeling up to it.

Kook(ie)

Unfortunately, Taehyung does remember a decent amount from last night. He remembers attempting to kiss Jungkook's neck and cuddling with him later. His cheeks flush at the memory. How humiliating.

However, anything Jungkook had said to him during all that is missing from his memory.

Taehyung rubs his temples, waiting for the ibuprofen to kick in and ease the dull throbbing in his head. He's not so sure what to do about the nausea rolling around in his unsettled stomach.

There's a knock on his door. He mutters out a, "Come in."

His mom peeks her head in before entering with a bottle. She hands it to him.

"Drink," she says. "Trust me. You'll need it after how much you got sick throughout the night."

"I threw up?"

She nods. "Jungkook stayed with you the first couple of times but he had to go back home. He felt bad leaving you. Then I took over."

"Oh. Thanks."

Taehyung opens the bottle and takes a whiff of a foul smelling concoction of really healthy things.

"So, you went to a party and for drunk?"

Her voice is still light, but he can feel her eyes glaring at him. He let her down and all for what?

"I'm sorry Mom," he mumbles.

"Was it Jungkook's idea? The party? The drinking?"

He shakes his head. "No. It was me. It was stupid. He never even wanted to go, but didn't want me to be there alone. He told me not to drink. I should've listened to him."

Tae's surprised to see her smiling. "Jungkook told me it was his all fault, but somehow I had a feeling he was lying."

He can't help smiling too. He can't believe the younger tried to cover for him. Especially after he didn't even want to go.

"I think I understand why you like him so much," she says. She sighs and gets up. "Now drink up and try to get over that hangover. Just for the record, if there's a next time, I won't be nearly as nice."

"I know. I'm sorry Mom."

He truly is because he hates disappointing his mom.

"I know bug," she hums. She ruffles his grossly messy hair and plants a kiss on his forehead.

She walks out and he winces while taking a sip from the bottle.
