After an unusual encounter, Jungkook becomes obsessed with helping Taehyung cross things off his bucket list.

Jungkook is waiting for Taehyung at his locker while flipping through now the third Death Note volume. He's eager to tell the older that he finished the other one.
However, when he finally catches Tae coming down the hallway, his stomach drops a little.
The usually stylish male sports a faded hoodie and covers his mullet with the hood. There are obvious heavy bags under his eyes. But most obviously, Taehyung's playful energy simply isn't there.
"Hey Kook," he says hoarsely.
"You're sick," the younger immediately states.
"No shit." Taehyung cringes. "I'm sorry. I didn't get much sleep last night. I probably shouldn't be talking to anyone today."
Jungkook's heart flutters with worry. "Does this have to do with why you were on the hos-" he tries to ask.
"Yes. I just have good days and bad days. Today is definitely a bad day. But I'm okay, I promise."
He nods. "I'm guessing you don't feel like bowling tonight then."
Taehyung's eyes widen. "I forgot that was tonight. I'm sorry. We'll do it another time, okay?"
It isn't necessarily the physical symptoms that is bother Jungkook the most. It's the sadness that the other male is trying to conceal is his muddy eyes.
"You can delay it as much as you want, but I'm still going to kick your ass," the younger teases.
He's pleased when Tae laughs. "We'll see about that."
Then the two males sheepishly stare at each other. Jungkook decides to bring up Death Note and is pleased with the reaction he gets for finishing the second volume.
"Listen, I have to go talk to one of my teachers," Taehyung says. "I'll catch you later though. Yeah?"
Jungkook nods. "Yeah, see you."
Taehyung hurries away and slips into the bathroom when he knows he's out of sight.
To his relief, the bathroom is empty. He clutches his chest, wishing it didn't feel like there were needles there. There again, he wouldn't be breathing deeply to feel the pain if he hadn't started panicking.
