"You don't have to worry about that Trip guy. I could have knocked the lights out of him. Then again this is me just trying to impress you. Sorry. Haha..."

The she-wolf sat at the foot of Jace's queen sized bed just staring at Jace while he did his paperwork at his desk a few feet away. It was summer and the air conditioner was on making a low humming sound in the silence.

It was the third day since they met, Jace introduced the she-wolf to the bathroom because she had taken a dump on the floor. Having a bath took place afterwards which led the she wolf to hating anything to do with the bathroom.

"And I am done!" Jace announced and turned to see his mate wagging her tail.

She could tell that her mate would be spending more time with her now. He had been at his desk all day and just said a few words from time to time.

"So, I've been patient and all but now I just have to know. What's your name?"

Jace went over and sat next to the she-wolf. She rolled over onto her back, revealing a star shaped white patch of fur on her stomach, and started pawing his thigh playfully.

"Aha, I know! I'll just guess. If it seems like you like or agree to the name I guess, then I'll call you by that from now on." The she-wolf stopped pawing and looked at Jace.

"Ok, uh... What about Julia?" Jace smiled as the she-wolf rolled back into her original position and wagged her tail.

"Do you like that name?" The she-wolf crawled closer and snuggled with Jace.

"Hmm. I'll call you Julia then. So Julia, how about I introduce you to the pack now? Since I finally know your name." He laughed and patted Julia's head.

Julia and Jace sat in his room for the rest of the day, just enjoying each other's company. Jace told Julia all about the pack and it's ways. When an alpha's heir turns eighteen but have not found his mate yet, they are to go to other packs and search. The same was for Beta heirs and Jace was supposed to do that, but he was held back because his parents and the Alpha and Luna's trip. Luckily, he found his mate anyway.

Julia had no idea what Jace was telling her, but she did not care. She liked the way his voice sounded. Jace did not know if she understood, but he talked on anyway. He started to be more convinced that she might be just a regular wolf, but her scent had been changing since her bath the other day. If she was just a regular wolf, there was no way that she would understand his every word. Jace had even tried to connect with her through the mate mind link, but there was no response from her.

Later Julia fell asleep so Jace decided to go ask the Alpha heir to call the pack for a meeting the next day through his pack mind link that he possessed because he was to be the next Alpha.

"Hey, Trip!" he knocked on the door. "I know you're in there."

"What do you want?" Trip's muffled voice sounded sleepy.

"Could you tell the pack that we'll be holding a meeting tomorrow? It's to introduce my mate."

"So you finally know her name? Anyways, why would I do that?"

"Because I took my time today doing your job when I could have used it to spend with Julia." Jace sighed.

"So her name's Julia, huh? Ok I guess I owe you."

"Thanks. I appreciate it."

When Jace went back to his room, Julia was awake and rolling around on the bed. She jumped off and ran up to Jace as he closed the door. For some reason, he felt like he should have left the door open.

"I'll leave the door open next time." Jace laughed and looked out the window.

"I am tired." he walked over to his bed and laid down, "But, you'll be bored if I fall asleep, so I'll stay awake."

Julia climbed on next to him and laid down. Soon enough both of them fell asleep.

"You didn't tell me what time you wanted to hold the meeting, so I told the pack to assemble at five in the morning. That's five minutes from now." Jace could hear Trip laugh.

He got up quickly and ran into the bathroom. He washed his face, then brushed his teeth and when he went out to change his clothes, Julia was up and yawning.

"Good morning beautiful. I'm finally going to introduce you to my pack. Sorry I didn't do it sooner."

Julia shook herself awake and followed Jace out the door. Although she was still tired, if Jace wanted her to go with him somewhere, then she would go. The three days that she has stayed there, the only place she went, was the kitchen and living room. Now, Jace was leading her to the backyard, where assemblies were held. When they got there, there was not a lot of pack members.

"Good morning everyone! I'm sorry that I called you out so early, and that I haven't been out of my room." Jace announced.

"But as you all might have been guessing, I've found my mate! Her name is Julia."

Awkward silence followed as everyone stared on. Then all of a sudden the small crowd cheered and laughed for joy.

"We were just kidding!" a group of three shouted in the front. "We are so happy for you!"

There was a sincerity in their cheering that made Jace smile in pride.

He lead Julia down to greet everyone. The older people congratulated the both of them and the younger ones patted Julia's fur. The sudden attention from so many people made her feel special and she couldn't wait to meet everyone. After she greeted most members, Jace told them that they could leave if they needed to get their day started.

"Hey, I knew it, Jace. You didn't come out of your room because you found your mate. I was telling Nate here, but he said that you were just probably stuck doing extra work. AKA, Trip's work. Welcome back, anyway." A male werewolf said walking up to Julia and Jace along with two others.

"Rei, both of you we're right. I wanted to get Julia comfortable first and I also had to do Trip's paperwork."

"Is Trip still locked up in his room?" the female werewolf asked. "Hello Julia! Nice to meet you, I'm Raina."

"So why is she in her wolf form?" Nate asked.

"Yea, that's the thing. I don't know. She won't tell me. I can't even communicate with her through mind link." Jace said.

"Maybe you should take her to the pack doctors. they might know." Nate suggested.

"Yea, she smells like a regular wolf, but at the same time, a werewolf." Raina knelt down and pat Julia on the head.

"You guys, don't give Jace any of that crap. There's nothing wrong with Julia. Hey, how did you know her name then, Jace?" Rei started to pet Julia too.

"Keep your hands off of her. And I think Nate might be right. I should ask for the pack doctor's help."

Nate, Raina and Rei left Jace and Julia. Trip watched from his window as Jace lead Julia to the hospital building.

There were not many patients at all because werewolves heal pretty fast. But three years ago, there was a werewolf hunter attack. In the end many lives were lost, but the hunters were wiped out. That is also the reason why the pack had such a small amount of members now.

Jace walked to Mr. Finn, the head doctor's office and told him about his circumstances. The doctor needed to deal with a lot of other stuff even though there was such a small amount of patients, so he took a quick sample of Julia's blood to test later.
