Wolf

Chapter 3

Jace rushed to the hospital with Julia when the doctor called to tell him that the results were almost in. It had been one day since Mr. Finn took Julia's blood and Jace had been anxious.

The sun was setting and it was about to be dark soon. They walked down the hall and knocked at the head doctor's office door. Mr. Finn opened the door and told Jace to sit.

"So the results confirmed that she is a werewolf." he rubbed his chin with his index finger. "The only way that I could explain her regular wolf smell is because she's probably lived with regular wolves her whole life. You did say that you found her with a pack of regular wolves."

"Hmm... Do you think that she can turn human, but just doesn't want to?"

Mr. Finn looked at Julia and she cocked her head to one side.

"I think that if she could turn human, she would do so already. It's werewolf instinct to stay their human form most of their life. Being in wolf form for too long can be tiring."

"Is it because wolf is not our first form?"

"Yes, that's exactly it. You see, every young werewolf turn to their wolf for the first time at the age of thirteen. That means they were only always in their human form before the age of thirteen. Therefore that justifies that human is our first form."

"So, I still don't understand why she hasn't turn human yet."

"I have no idea what could have caused this. If it was any emotional damage that made her feel safer in her wolf form, that should have gone away the moment she found you, her mate."

"So it's not emotional damage. At first I thought that she was just a regular wolf so I tried to teach her what things were called. Now that I know she's a werewolf, should I still teach her just in case she has always lived with wolves her whole life?"

"Julia," the she-wolf looked up at Mr. Finn right away. "I think she knows her name. The things you told me yesterday, it seems like it was you who picked her name. In my opinion you should keep talking to her and getting her used to human life just in case of what you just said. Maybe one day she'll want to turn enough and succeed at it. I think that is all I have to say, Mr. Reese."

"Okay, thank you. I really appreciate your help."

"My pleasure. By the way, how's maintaining the pack coming along. If you don't understand something, you can always ask me."

"It's challenging, but I'll get through it. I'll be sure to come to you if I need help while Trip and my parents are gone."

"You need to get him out of that room of his. Poor guy's going to be Alpha one of these days." Mr. Finn sighed as Jace and Julia left the room.

"That was Mr. Finn, the pack's head doctor. He's one of the oldest werewolf here." Jace explained to Julia.

That night, Jace got Julia to try the bathtub again. This time Julia didn't mind. After giving Julia a bath he took a shower himself. The next day he planned to take Julia to Rei's house and hang out.
