It felt like the world was shifting along with her as her bones grew and shrunk where they needed to. It was going fine until her jaw began to shrink and the pain became too unbearable. She stopped her transformation and laid in the bedroom floor exhausted. Her body slowly turned back to wolf.

Although Jace told her that she can only try when he was around, she did not think that he would want to witness how much pain it was. She didn't want Jace to see.

Jace walked into the room and started talking about how his parents called earlier saying they would be back in the next two days. He carried a tray of lunch and sat it down on his desk.

"Here's lunch. Julia?" Jace turned and and Julia quickly walked over.

"Were you up to something I should know about?" Jace asked concerned.

'Nope. I was behaving while you were gone. I would never try anything, you know?'

"Uh-huh... You weren't trying to turn human or anything." He had his doubts.

'Okay, okay. I was. But it's because I don't want you to see me like that... It's embarrassing and you'll stop me every time it seems too much, and I don't want that...'

"I feel kind of hurt." Jace frowned. "but I guess you're right. Okay, I will allow you to do it in privacy. Just don't sneak it again, ok?"

'Yes! I won't I promise this time. Oh, I love you so so much!'

"I love you so so much too Julia. Let's eat now."

'Jace I feel like I can turn human if I try one more time.' Julia insisted after they ate their lunch.

"Really? Are you going to try again soon?"

'Actually, yea. Right now...'

Julia backed up from Jace and started her transformation. It started down by her feet and traveled up her back. Jace was amazed. He thought that it would take her at least a whole week, but it was reasonable that it took her just yesterday morning and that afternoon. A day, after all, was how long it takes thirteen year old werewolves to turn wolf for the first time.

The pain was still unbearable, but somehow, with Jace in the room, Julia was able to bear with it. Soon she was laying on the floor in her human form and Jace was at her side making sure she was okay.

"Are you okay?" Jace picked Julia up into his arms and it felt like shock waves hit them where ever they touched.

"Ah...ha..." It was hard for Julia to make out the sounds of her words.

'I'm okay.' She then said through mind link. 'Help me to the bathroom. I need to take a bath.' Julia smiled up at Jace.

"Okay... I'll just carry you."

"N-no..." Julia managed to say.

"Right. I'll just help you out. Careful now."

They took their time. It was easy for Jace to help Julia, but it wasn't easy for Julia to help herself. Balancing on two legs was probably the hardest thing she had ever done.

She made Jace allow her to turn the water on by herself and then give herself a bath with out help. Jace sat on the floor right out side of the tub.

"You know," Jace said examining her facial features and long silver-like hair. "I thought this before, but didn't say anything. You look similar to my mother. I can't wait for Mom and Dad to come home and meet you."

"Rea..." Julia's voice grew hoarse and couldn't finish the word.

"Yea really. When I told them about you through the phone, they were screaming and cheering. It was louder than the whole pack."

"D..did you tell..." She cleared her throught. "About how we...-"

"I just told them that you were on the pack's territory. They were in a rush to a party the neighboring pack was holding at their pack house."

"I see..."

"Hey."

"Hmm?" Julia looked up from scrubbing her arms.

"Your voice is beautiful."

"Thank you." She smiled and continued her bath.

Jace gave Julia some of his clothes to her. They were loose, but atleast she wouldn't have to walk around naked in human form.

It took a while, but Julia decided that she was confident in her balance enough to walk to Rei's house. Julia had also been talking the whole entire time so she was getting better at sounding out her words. Jace was a little unsure, but agreed too.

Jace closed the bedroom door behind them as they were leaving. They walked down the hall towards the stairs at Julia's pace. She was walking on her own now but Jace walked right behind her just in case she lost her balance.

At the stairs, Trip walked up and gave them a confused stare, then smelled Julia's familiar scent. He started clapping and smiled.

"Hey Jace and Julia. Congrats on turning to your human form successfully."

"How... did you know?" Julia asked confused.

"I am the next Alpha. Actually, I am Alpha for the time being. That's how I know." he said and continued up the stairs.

"I told him actually." Jace said. "I think he's feeling a little stressed out after talking with his dad on the phone earlier today."

"What happened?"

"His dad told him to stop spending his whole life looking after his mate and take his Alpha rank seriously."

"His human mate... What was she like? I saw her picture that one time. She was beautiful. Did you know her?"

They were outside now and everything was quiet.

"I did know her. They met a year after the hunter attack. She was a good person. She never backed down from a challenge. It was like she wanted to live life to the fullest."

"I see... Sounds like an amazing person." Julia looked around. "Why is it so quiet usually the pack members would still be walking around..."

"Oh, I didn't mention it. Today is the day that the hunter attack happened. June 24."

Most members just stay in their houses to remember their lost ones in silence. Others, even those who has lost someone, choose to treat it as a regular day, but stay quiet to respect the mourning people.

They made it to Rei's house and Nate opened the door. In the living room was Rei and Miranda but Raina was not around. Julia wondered where she was but decided to not ask.

Jace and Julia joined in on the board game Nate, Rei, and Miranda was just about to begin. They all fought on who would be the best teacher for Julia, but in the end she decided that she didn't feel like playing at that moment.

The game went on and on until Julia finally asked where Raina was. Nate said that she was in her room just like she always was on June 24th since the hunter attack.

Julia got up and walked down the dark hall. The window at the end showed that the sky outside was also dark. She started feeling paranoid for no reason. When she got to Raina's door, it was eerily quiet. the only sound was Rei and Miranda arguing because someone cheated. Julia knocked on the door and no one replied.

A/N: Hehe, so what do you think? Well, I think that I made this story too short. Give it two or three more chapters and it might wrap itself up. :) Then maybe I can continue my other story, Awakened From Stone
