Zay'dira

I flattened my skirt out, before sitting down in my office chair. Business wise, things have been going great. Both stores have been making lots of progress and getting more publicity, Cardi B has been shouting out my clothes and Hennessy has been doing the same with my hair line. It drew a lot of people in and celebrities have been ringing up my line also.

"Good Afternoon Ms. Larsen," Tyler stuck her head in with a wide smile.

"How's it been?"

She nodded, " Great, ever since—" I nodded not wanting to speak of the past, "You have mail." She said quickly placing the envelopes and small package onto my desk giving a tight lipped smile.

I smiled back, "Thank you Tyler," She nodded again before shutting my office door. I had mail from other brands, wanting to either collaborate or promote. Once I've gotten to the package, I couldn't help but rip it open like some Christmas gift.

It was a pair pink of skates, with an attached note, " I know it's your favorite color —A."

"Knock Knock," Reema said walking in.

I shot my head up closing the package back, "Wassup?" She gave me a raised eyebrow.

"What's that," She asked sitting down in one of my comfortable office chairs. I shook her head having her purse her lips, " Bitch, What August did?"

I couldn't help but blush at the sound of his name. Shit what don't he do but make me comfortable and treat me amazing, especially as a friend. I shrugged with a goofy ass smile having her perk up.

"Liar," She cheeses pointing at me, " He dicked you down?"

I smacked my teeth, " Girl, not everything's about dick Reema."

She crossed her arms, " Yeah, but we only 21 for a short period of time, we gotta get all the vitamin D. Back gotta get blown out before it go out! Okur," She did the tongue roll like Cardi making me laugh. "Especially since your birthday IS coming up."

"Well you know I'm just going to do something regular," She mugged me, before noticing noticing the box on my desk.

"Um ma'am who sent you this," Reema leaned forward trying to pry open the box making me slap her hands.

"Stop," I dragged laughing.

She peeled open the box before frowning, "Skates?"I used my hand to zip my mouth closed before throwing away the key.

"Oh girl," She waved me off, " I'll find out tonight then, finna be Instagram & Snapchat lurking."

I laughed rolling my eyes, " Wassup with Dave?"

"And you won't show me your package but wanna ask me about him, tuh."

"Girl it's just from August," I shrugged off like it was nothing but she leaned back with her hand over her chest.

"A gift? Skates? A date...Y'all going on a date," She said excitedly almost leaping out her seat, "I knew it."

"It's not like that—"

"Yet. A date is just the beginning Z," She cheesed," He might ask you to be his girlfriend."

"Eh, now back to you and Dave," I redirected the conversation. I didn't want to really get into me and August for the simple fact, I wasn't ready to date him. We were in a good space and whatever we was doing, was good for me. No title and no expectations, no let downs. I could move freely, and not worry about being cheated on or my heart broken.

"What about the dingbat?" I almost choked on the water I was about to drink.

"He can't be too crazy if you still talking to him," I pointed out.
