Clarence

I was a block away from my house at a red light. My knuckles were turning white from how hard I was gripping the stirring wheel. I rode in silence since I️ turned the radio off for playing emotional ass shit. I couldn't lie and say I wasn't hurt. I was past hurt, but there's nothing I could do.

The thought of her holding another man and giving him what she once gave me, pained my heart. It felt like my heart dropped watching how he held her and showed her affection. Even her reaction towards it. I should be making her blush, not the shit I'm doing right now.

"Fuck," I yelled hitting my steering wheel. A horn honked making me look up at the light and pull off, only not wanting to go straight home. Jordynn was not someone I wanted to be in the presence of.

I kept riding around with no real destination. My mind was just running and it was crazy because I was driving perfectly when I wasn't actually paying attention.

"Hello," I asked lowly finally picking my phone up.

"Where are you," Her highpitched voice asked.

I sighed pulling up at a gas station, "Getting something at the corner store."

"Can i—"

"Yeah," I️ cut her off by hanging up. I got out my car as I parked in front the store, making sure to lock my doors. I ran a hand down my face as I walked inside. The cashier quickly turned his attention to me nodding his head and I returned it going down the aisle to get a snack for Jordynn. She didn't care for candy, all she really wanted was chocolate. Any kind and that's what i got her. Bag of KitKats, Snickers, and MilkyWay. I even grabbed Sour Punch Straws for me, before getting a coke. Once I gotten to the register, i put everything on the counter waiting for him to ring me up.

"This all," He asked and I nodded, "6.15."

I gave him 6.15 exact, grabbing the bag he placed them in. Walking back to my car, I felt somebody looking at me. Once I turned around, I saw nobody. I shrugged it off, heading back to my house.

"Yo," I sat the bag down locking the door.

"Hm," She hummed coming from the room I'm guessing, "You got my stuff?"

I nodded handing her the chocolate and she smiled before kissing my cheek. I couldn't help but noticed she smell like outside. I wanted to ask how, since she's been inside all day. She has no other way out since her Benz was in the shop. Not wanting to get into it I shook it off and forced a smile walking away into the kitchen.

"I was thinking about our wedding," She said opening the wrapper of the KitKat.

I nodded grabbing a shot glass and going grab the Henny i had stashed away, " What about it?"

Taken aback she scoffed, "What you mean by that?"

I shook my head pouring my glass before capping the bottle back and mixing my Coke with it, " Here you go."

"Here I go? You damn right. What's up with this funky attitude you have," She said following me out the kitchen fussing.

"I don't have one."

"Could've fooled me," She folded her arms, her pudge getting more noticeable.

I sat down on the sofa opening my Sour Punch Straws eating one, completely staring into space. I just wasn't in the mood. For anything. I took a gulp of my drink, shaking my head as the liquor burned my throat.
