Sorry I've been away so long, * Life is Strange * . . . and it really sucks. But I'm back, and I've got a really good one, I think, for you guys.

"Oh great Mala! Our tribe's pettiness has royally pissed off the spirits." Max said.

"Max!" Marianna sighed, face-palming, "Couldn't he have been a bit less straight-forward."

"We wish to make tribute with a sacrifice in order to ask for forgiveness." Max said.

The entity lifted its arms, listening to the hushed voices around it. Max and Marianna stood their ground, afraid to even misstep. As the voices got louder, Max looked to his sister. Everything was going as planned, the spirits were responding, the ritual was working . . . but what were they meant to sacrifice.

"Marianna . . . what are we supposed to . . ." Max whispered.

"Don't move!" She hissed, "And don't worry about it."

Now Max was worried, Marianna was planning something without him. Which meant, something he wasn't going to like was about to happen. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to the Sanchez siblings, Gwen was standing nearby with a metal pipe.

"Okay . . . if I hit that chick on the head, she'll disappear." Gwen muttered, lightly stepping into the water.

The spirits have agreed to accept your offering! Present your gift to me, and I shall have it sent forth to the heavens.

Just as Marianna was about to reach for a small box behind her, Gwen appeared and swiped at the entity. Max and Marianna both watched in awe as the entity collapsed. Max screamed as Marianna dropped to her knees.

My gift . . . is an ambush from a non-member of the tribe? Is this how the Cherokee tribe intended to seek forgiveness? By eliminating me?! The Great Mala?!?!?

"No . . . No Great Mala, the Cherokee would never disrespect you in such a way." Marianna insisted, "She . . . she is nothing more than a counselor at the nearby camp."

"Goddamnit Gwen! Do you have any idea what you've just done?!" Max screamed.

"Ha! Ha, ha, ha!" Gwen nervously laughed, "I-I saved the camp . . . I did it!"

SUCH INSOLENCE! THIS IS HOW THE CHEROKEE TRIBE TREATS ITS ELDERS?! I SHALL HAVE YOU AND THIS GODFORSAKEN HELL HOLE ERADICATED FROM EXISTENCE!

"Wait what?" Gwen asked.

"Welp! I guess I've finally get to know what the after life looks like." Max said.

"Now's not the time for sarcasm, Max!" Gwen screamed.

Just as Mala was about to destroy the camp, Marianna looked around . . . she had to think fast. However, before she could come up with something, Max spoke.

"Hold on a minute!" Max screamed.

What is it?

"L-Legend says that a noble sacrifice will satiate you guys, right?" Max asked, "Well, what if I gave you my eyes?!"

"Your what?!" Gwen snapped.

"Max, no!" Marianna said.

"These are the eyes of an hunter . . . I'm sure you guys could use those, right?"

A pair of natural born hunter's eyes is quite rare . . . I suppose I could accept this as a noble sacrifice.

"Wait, Great Mala!" Marianna screamed, "I offer you one of my mystic eyes as sacrifice for sparing us and this land!"
