~Your POV~
You had been staying with Brendon for over a week now. It was nice being able to see him everyday and waking up in his arms.
It was a dreary day and seemed like it was going to rain. You both were at home curled up on the couch doing nothing. This was when you remembered your idea from last week.
"Hey Brendon?" "Hmm?" "I have an idea of what we should do since we're bored." "And what might that be?" "For today, we should become our opposites. So I would become cute and girly and wear bright colors and I can make you emo again!" "Noooo! I don't want to be emo again!" You laugh. "Do you really think I want to dress in bright clothes and go around being all happy and giggly?" "I guess not." "We're doing this. Let's go."
You grab his hand and pull him into the bathroom. You walk out and go to his closet and look through his clothes. In the back, you find a My Chemical Romance shirt and a pair if black ripped skinny jeans. You pull out a pair of black converse and make your way back to the bathroom. "Here. Change into this." You hand him the clothes and walk back into the bedroom to pick your outfit. He closes the door and starts to change.
You go to your closet and start rifling through the very limited orange section. You pull out an salmon colored blouse and then pick out a flowered skirt that has similar colors (A/N: Image above). Brendon then steps out of the bathroom. "Well?" He asks. "You look great. What do you think of this?" You hold up the outfit. "Well.. it's certainly..bright?" "I know. I hate it already. Now when I'm done changing, I'm going to take a flat iron to your hair and apply your guyliner. Then I need to curl my hair and apply bright makeup." "YOU'RE MAKING ME WEAR GUYLINER AGAIN?!" "Yes. Deal with it. I'm forcing myself to look like I don't listen to My Chemical Romance or Green Day. Oh, did I add we are going out on a date like this?" "WE GAVE TO GO IN PUBLIC?!" "Yes I believe that's what 'going on a date' means." You reply sarcastically. Brendon groans and you laugh.
You walk into the bathroom and change. You look at yourself and immediately hate how bright and cheerful the outfit is. You open the door. "Alright get in here." Brendon looks you up and down. "Wow you look...different. But in a good way. Honestly you look great in that. Except for your eyes. They still scream 'I'm dead inside someone help me.' You should work on that." Brendon says laughing. You roll your eyes. "Thanks. Now lemme apply your eyeliner."
You take an eyeliner pencil from your makeup collection and tell Brendon to look up. You do his lower lash line and then the top. You smear it a bit to give it that 'emo' look. You do his other eye the same and then plug in the straightener. "I never thought I would have to see myself in eyeliner ever again." Brendon says starring at his reflection. "Yeah well get ready to be back in 2005 because I'm giving you a fringe again."
When the straightener heated up, you stared to flatten Brendon's hair over his forehead. "Hey one good thing is your huge forehead won't be noticeable." You say jokingly. "Hey it isn't THAT big." He says laughing. When his hair was styled in a fringe, you took out hairspray. "Close your eyes and mouth." He did as told and you sprayed his hair. You took a step back and admired your work. "There. You look like you're straight outta 2005!" He looks in the mirror and his jaw drops. "Oh my God. This takes me back to whenever I would sit and listen to Blink-182 with my friends in high school. You did great." "Thanks. Now i just need to get ready."
You unplug the flat iron and plug in a curling iron instead. You start to work on your makeup as Brendon watches. You decide to do a pink eyeshadow look rather than your normal brown/black. You do a winged eyeliner and apply highlight and blush as well as bronzer. When you were done, you start to curl your hair. "I don't get why girls spend so much time on their appearance." Brendon says. "Well, some of us are insecure and are intimidated by prettier girls. So doing our makeup and hair helps us feel a bit more confident."
"Oh. But you really shouldn't care what other people think. Everyone is beautiful in their own way." "True but still. Everyone always worries about not being good enough at least once in their life.. I know I worry about not being good enough for you..." "Hey, we've talked about this before. I love you and I wouldn't want any other girl to be my girlfriend. You're beautiful and funny and kind. If anything, I'm the one that isn't good enough for you." He wraps his arms around your waist from behind and kisses your cheek. You turn and kiss him and then take his hand.
"Well are you ready to go?" You ask. "Where exactly are we going though?" "You'll see." You say with a smile. You put on a pair of salmon colored flats and head out the door to the car. Brendon gets in the passenger seat since he doesn't know where you are going. You get in and start the car. This was going to be fun.
A/N: Hi! I'm back! Hope you enjoyed this update! Stay frosty!
