Chapter 16

~Brendon's POV~

Shortly after I was brought into what appeared to be Y/N's bedroom, Y/N was pushed in and her friend Y/B/F/N said "Ok so I asked a friend of mine to choose a random guy to play 7 minutes in heaven and it seems she chose you Brendon. My other friend suggested Y/N since it's her party. So it appears you two have 7 minutes alone together. I'm locking the door and setting a timer. Have fun!"

Well, I guess this would be a good time to tell her how I felt. "Well...what do you want to do?" She asks. "I actually have something to tell you." My nerves start to appear as I think about how she could totally reject me. "I have something to tell you too." "You can go first." I say. She takes a deep breath and then says "I like you...a lot.." at first I'm filled with shock. She likes me? Then the shock turns to happiness. "That's actually what I was going to tell you. I like you a lot as well." She smiles and comes and hugs me. I hug her back and when we pull away, our faces are only inches apart. I don't know what made me do it, but I closed the space between us.

I felt her tense up and regret filled me, thinking that it was too soon, but that was replaced with relief when she relaxed and kissed back.

~Your POV~

You watch as a look of shock crosses his face but then quickly turns to a smile. "That's actually what I was going to tell you. I like you a lot as well." Happiness fills you and you can't help but to smile. You go and hug him and when you pull apart, your faces are only inches apart. He starts to lean in a soon you lips connect. You tense up at first but then relax and kiss him back. The kiss was short but it was sweet.

When you pull away Brendon looks into your eyes and smiles. "I've been waiting to do that for a while." You laugh. "Me too." You gently kiss him again and when you pull away, he asks "Will you be my girlfriend?" "Yes of course." You reply. He smiles and you do as well. "You don't know how happy you just made me." "The feeling is mutual." You reply. He laughs and you do too. You don't know how long you had left so you just sat on the floor. Brendon followed and you leaned against him. He put his arm around you pulling you closer. He placed a kiss to the top of your head.

After a few minutes of sitting like this and talking lightly, Y/B/F/N opened the door. "Alright your time is up." When she saw you she immediately smiled. "Hope you guys had fun." You both stood up and then walked out into the living room. "Did you find someone to talk to earlier?" You ask Brendon. "Yeah. I actually was talking to your friend Lucas. We seem to have a lot in common." "That's good. I kinda guess you two would find each other. I could tell you would become friends."

Y/B/F/N came over to you. "Hey Brendon sorry to interrupt but can I steal Y/N for a second?" "Yeah sure." Y/B/F/N led you into the kitchen. "SPILL THE TEA NOW!" "Well....we're a thing now.." you say as calm as possible. "WHAT?! AH YES MY SHIP IS REAL. OTP! I KNEW IT WOULD HAPPEN EVENTUALLY. I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU." She hugged you and rocked you back and forth. You laughed. "I guess I really have to thank you for this though. If you never would have taken me to that Tornados game, I never would have met him." "Yes this is all my doing. I am responsible for this whole thing." She says and you laugh.

The party continues until around 11:30 and people start to leave. Brendon was one of the last to leave. You walked out with him to his car hand and hand. When you got to the driver's side, he leans against his car and turns to you. "You know, I wasn't joking at the restaurant when I said we should make Tuesdays our date night. What do you think?"

You smile and kiss him lightly. "I would love that." He smiles and then gets in his car. "I'll see you soon ok?" "Alright. See you later Brendon." "Bye Y/N."  He then pulls out of your driveway and you make your way back into the house.

When everyone had left, you and Y/B/F/N started to clean up. You finished around 1:30 A.M. and the whole two hours you were cleaning, Y/B/F/N wouldn't stop talking about you and Brendon. She was going to stay the night again and you both were exhausted. As you were going to sleep, you couldn't help but think 'For the first time in a month, I am genuinely happy.'
