~Your POV~
You arrived at Dallon's house and parked across the street since there were cars lined up in his driveway. You and Brendon got out and Brendon snaked an arm around your waist and walked towards the house with you. You rang the doorbell and waited as someone approached the door. "Brendon! Y/N! I'm so glad you could make it! You both look stunning." Y/B/F/N greeted. She was in a black dress and had her hair curled. "Thank you! You look beautiful as well!" You respond.
You step inside and see a lot of people. Some of them you recognize, some you don't. In the far corner of the living room, you see who you think Y/B/F/N said was Ryan Ross. (A/N: this hurts i'm sorry.) You decide to go up to him and introduce yourself. "Hello! I'm Y/N." You stuck out your hand for him to shake and he smiled and accepted. "Hey, I'm Ryan. Nice to meet you." You smiled and then asked how he knew Dallon and Y/B/F/N. "Well, Dal and I have been friends for a while. We met at a hockey game when I had first started playing. The rest is history. How about you?"
"Well I've always known Y/B/F/N. We've been best friends for as long as I can remember. Then I met Dallon through my fiancé." "Who's your fiancé?" Just as you were about to respond, Brendon comes up behind you and whispers in your ear. "Hey can I talk to you for a second?" "Sure hold on." "I'm sorry Ryan, but I've got to for a second. We can talk more later." He smiles and nods. Then you walk away with Brendon. "Why are you talking to Ryan?" "Well, I remember Y/B/F/N pointing him out at a hockey game and I wanted to meet him. Why?" "Well, Ryan and I.. we have a past." "Oh?" "It wasn't t anything like you're probably thinking. We were good friends and then.. we kind of drifted apart after a fight."
"Oh... I'm sorry." "It's ok. I haven't seen him in a while. I almost didn't recognize him when I played him in hockey." (A/N: I wonder if he had the gremlin costume. I'm sorry but if you get that I love you XD) You nod and then Brendon also adds "I must admit, I pulled you away from talking to him because I was getting jealous. Especially with you in that dress talking to someone attractive, I wouldn't want anything to happen." "Brendon, you know I love you. I wouldn't leave you for anyone. You're the one I want to be with for the rest of my life. I mean, we're getting married in a couple months! I wouldn't call off that wedding for anything."
Brendon smiles lightly and kisses your forehead. "Does he know you're engaged? Because I could tell by the way he was looking at you, he found you attractive." "Bren, it's ok. He knows I'm engaged. He seems nice and I don't think he would try and split us apart. And even if he did, I wouldn't let it happen. I love you too much to even look at other guys. If I see another guy, I always find myself comparing them to you and pointing out characteristics you have that I love, that they don't have. No one can compare to you Brendon."
"I love you Y/N." "I love you more." "Not possible." You kiss his cheek and then go off to find Y/B/F/N. You find her in the kitchen. When she sees you, she smiles and hands you a glass of eggnog. "You look like you could use some of this. Everything good?" "Yeah. Couldn't be better." You take a sip of the eggnog and then talk to Y/B/F/N a bit longer.
After conversing with people and drinking a little too much eggnog, you found Brendon. "Hey Bren, I think I'm ready to go home." You say a bit slowly from being slightly intoxicated. "Alright babe, let's go say goodbye to everyone." You nod and walk with Brendon and say goodbye to everyone. While Brendon is saying goodbye to one of his friends, you go over to Ryan to say goodbye. "Bye Ryan, it was nice meeting you." He smiles and says "Likewise. Do you have your phone on you?" "Yeah why?" "I just thought I'd give you my number so if you need anything, you could call me." You nod and hand him your phone. He types in his number then hands it back to you. "Have a good night Y/N."
You go back to Brendon and he slips his arm around your waist and leads you out the door. When you get in the car and get buckled, you rest your hand on Brendon's thigh. You move your hand up slightly and Brendon's breathing hitches and he holds your hand with one of his. "I love you, but please don't do this while I'm driving. It could end badly." He says laughing a bit. You laugh and resort to lacing your fingers with his.
You make it home and when you get inside, you throw your purse of the couch. You weren't as intoxicated as you were, but you weren't exactly sober. When Brendon comes in the room, you walk over to him and grab his tie and pull his towards you and you kiss him. His hands find their way to your waist and you move yours to his hair. Before things go too far though, he pulls away and you from. "As much as I would love to do this, we shouldn't. You're slightly drunk and I'd prefer if you were sober. It would be better that way." You nod and he sweeps you off your feet and carries you bridal style into the bedroom. He sets you down and then hands you pajamas to change into. You go into the bathroom and change and take off your makeup. You crawl into bed and Brendon goes to walk out of the room. "Bren, could you maybe lay here with me? At least until I go to sleep?" He smiles and then grabs a pair of sweatpants. "Of course. Let me change first."
He goes into the bathroom and returns with just the sweatpants hanging loosely on his hips. He gets in next you and you move closer to him as he wraps his arms around you. Within a few minutes you're fast asleep in Brendon's arms.
A/N: Hey guys. I'm really sorry for the lack of updates. I've been busy with school and marching band and I haven't had much time to write. I also haven't been that motivated to write. I'm sorry but I'll try and update when I can. Also thank you all so much for 8k reads! Stay frosty!
