Chapter 36

*a few months later*

Tonight was the bachelor party. Brendon and a group of his friends were going out to a club (of course) and you were going to stay home and invite some of your close friends over. You had faith that Brendon would behave himself and nothing would happen. You were just planning on eating a whole bunch of snacks and watching movies. Possibly doing a few face masks as well. You just wanted to relax with your close friends whilst your fiancé partied with his.

"Good morning babe." Brendon greeted you as he came downstairs and saw you sitting on the couch. "Good morning. Are you ready for tonight? It'll be one of your last nights as a bachelor." "Yeah I am. But I am definitely ready to settle down and put my bachelor days behind me. I'm excited to start my life with you by my side as my wife." "Aww you're so sweet."

You got up and decided to make some breakfast for the two of you. You decided on just a simple breakfast of eggs, toast, and bacon. After a little bit it was ready and you sat at the table to eat together.

"What are you planning to do today?" Brendon asks. "Well I was thinking of having Y/B/F/N over and a few other people. I think we're just gonna hang out here and watch some movies." Brendon nods, "That sounds like fun. I don't think i'm going to drink all that much tonight. I'm gonna take things easy." "That sounds like a good idea." You stand up and take the plates to the sink and wash them.

"I might go to the store later just to pick up a few groceries. We need more milk and some other stuff." You say. "Would you mind picking up some more ramen? We only have a few packs left" Brendon adds. "Yeah sure." Brendon gets up from the table and decides to go pick and outfit for the party later tonight. You sit down on couch and decide to watch 'The Umbrella Academy'. It was recently released on Netflix and Gerard Way wrote the comic books for it. So far, you really liked it. You had decided to watch it since you had recently finished Pretty Little Liars and needed another show.

About 2 hours had passed and you decided to head out to the store. "I'm gonna leave for the store now babe." You said kissing Brendon on the cheek. "Ok, be safe. I love you" "I love you more." You grabbed the keys and went outside to the car.

When you got to the store, you walk in and freeze. Standing in isle number 2 is none of than, you guess it, douchebag Derek. "Not him again.." you say to yourself. You decide to sneakily try to avoid being seen by him, so you ducked your head and speedily walked many isles away from him. You really didn't want him to do something like he did the last time. You weren't letting him cause problems for you anymore. You were getting married in a few days, and you weren't going to let a manipulative bastard like Derek get into your head.

You quickly got all the snacks and drinks you needed for the girls night and saw Derek in line to checkout. To avoid getting seen by him as he was leaving, you got into the longest line possible. You texted Brendon so you had an excuse to look down to stay incognito.

You: Hey Bren, I'm checking out now, but Derek is here. He hasn't seen me so he hasn't caused me any problems. I'm just hoping he won't notice me.
Brendon: I wish I would've came with you. I could've kicked his ass like I said I would.
You: It's alright. He's leaving now. I'm just glad he didn't come up to me.
Brendon: If he would've, i would have wanted you to text me so I could at least not a few of his teeth out.
You: I would've. Well I'm next in line. I'll be home soon.
Brendon: Ok babe, be safe on the way home.

You put your phone in your back pocket and put all your items on the conveyor belt. You then paid for your snacks and went home. When you got there it was 3:30. "Hey B, I got you your ramen." You said as you saw Brendon sitting at the kitchen table on his laptop. "Thanks babe" you went over and kissed his cheek then started to put the snacks in the cupboard.

You decided to text all your friends and invite them over. You texted the group chat and said:

You: Hey girls, just wanted to invite you all to a girls night at my house complete with snacks, face masks, and movies.  Since all the guys get to go have fun tonight, why shouldn't we?

Soon, Marie, Meagan, Y/B/F/N, and Claire texted back confirming they'd be there. "Bren, what time are you gonna get ready to meet up with the guys?" "Probably around 5. Our dinner reservation is at 6." You nodded and then texted the girls to be at your house by 5:15. For now though, you had about 2 hours to spare. You and Brendon moved back to the couch and you put on 'The Umbrella Academy'. You snuggled up against Brendon and he wrapped his arms around you. "I'm so happy I met you Brendon. You make me so happy and always know just what to say" "I'm glad I met you too Y/N, and you make me even happier." "That's impossible"

You watched a few episodes with Brendon before he said he needed to go get ready. He came back a few minutes later looking amazing in black slacks and a button down. He always cleaned up nice. "Well I'm going to head out babe. I love you" he said coming over and kissing you. "Bye Bren, be safe and don't do anything stupid. I love you more." "Have fun with the girls. I'll text you when I can." And with that, he walked out the door.

A/N: ok, so I know it's been a reallly long time since I last uploaded a chapter, and I'm sorry. (I guess Tyler, Josh, and I have something in common now, we all went on a year long hiatus) I didn't forget about this story, I just simply couldn't find the motivation to write a full chapter. I'd write bits and pieces here and there, but could never sit down and actually write. Most of you probably don't even remember this story, but that's alright. I hope to start writing chapters again for you guys. And remember, Stay Frosty!
