🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

After agreeing to take things slow Tegan and Avery spent the rest of the month together getting to know each other. Avery wasn't surprised that they had many things in common, but it did hurt her heart to know that she would end up losing a good friend.

Currently Avery was sitting on one of the benches at the park as she watched Tegan play with Ava and Alexis. Her best friend was on her way to meet her, so she could explain why she had disappeared so suddenly.

Feeling her phone vibrate in her lap she looked at it to see Timothy's name flashing across it. He had recently started back to call her non-stop. She knew he was losing his damn mind, and she felt somewhat a little guilty for doing this to him. They would have to have a long talk when she arrived back home.

Locking her phone back she slipped it into her purse as Heather approached her with her arms crossed. Standing Avery pulled her into a hug. Sighing, Heather pulled back from her as they both sat down on the bench.

"I was so worried about your ass. Timothy called me crying asking about your whereabouts. Don't ever do this shit again Avery. I mean it."

"I know and I'm sorry for not calling you and filling you in. It was just a last minute thing. Tegan, she just took me in a-"

Heather frowned, "Tegan? Who the hell is Tegan?"

Blushing slightly, Avery looked down at her hands before glancing over at Tegan with the twins.

Placing her hand on her forehead, Heather shook her head, "Avery tell me you didn't. Please, tell me you didn't cheat on your husband with a woman! Especially, when you know you still have an unresolved situation with Chris!"

Avery cringed at the mention of Chris' name. He was no more than a distant memory now. Not that he was a mistake, but now he didn't really mean much to her. Maybe three years ago, but not anymore.

"I'll handle Chris and Timothy, but I didn't call you here for an intervention. I called you to explain why I went under the radar, because you're my best friend," Avery replied leaning against her hand.

"I understand that Avery, but really you're causing trouble where it shouldn't be any. If you don't want to be with your damn husband you need to talk to him like the damn adult you are. Then you're leading this woman on. You're going to break her heart Avery. Do you want a repeat of what happened with Chris. I didn't like that shit not one bit. So handle this shit before it gets out of hand," Heather chastised.

"I kn-" before Avery could speak Heather interrupted her.

"Pause does she know you're married?"

Avery didn't say anything as she looked down at her hands once again.

"Damn Avery. What the hell have you gotten yourself into. Somebody's going to end up hurt, and it's going to be all by your doing. I can't with you right now. You need to tell her, before she finds out in the most unconvenient way possible. God Avery what the hell is going through that head of yours," Heather rambled.

Sighing Avery stood up seeing Tegan headed their way.

"Ready to go," Avery asked smiling.

"Yeah the girls are tired. We should head back to the house," Tegan replied sensing the tension between Avery and the unknown woman beside her.

Seeing Tegan's uneasiness towards Heather, Avery introduced the two.

"Tegan this Heather Platt, my best friend."
