I felt Brooklyn's chest rise as he let out a breath. As I moved slightly his arm tightened around me and pulled my nearer to him.
"I am going out for the day," James said through my door. "Tyler is coming too."
"Good morning," Brooklyn mumbled through my hair. He kissed the top of my head slowly.
"Good morning to you," I said back. I heard footsteps running up the stairs and before I could do anything Evie had walked into my room. "Go to the kitchen." She walked out of the room as I climbed out of the bed. I pressed a kiss on Brooklyn's lips. "I will be back in a bit. Don't come down."
"I will just go back to sleep," he mumbled. He was already snoring as I walked out of the room.
"What the hell is going on?" Evie asked as soon as I had walked into the room. I shut the door so the sound didn't travel upstairs. "Did he stay over?"
"Yeah," I said. I filled up the kettle and put it on to boil.
"Did you do it?"
"No," I said. "Nothing happened like that between us. He just slept over. I asked him to."
"Why?" she asked. I sat down opposite her with my coffee.
"It might have been my only chance to share a bed with him," I said quietly and slowly. "I just wanted to know what it would be like. Our time is running out."
"You have to stop thinking like that," she said. She stared at me for a bit. "If you did anything you can tell me about it mind."
"Nothing happened," I said once again. "The furthest we went was making out. We watched films for hours before falling asleep."
"Does James know?"
"Yes," I said with a sigh."He made me promise nothing would happen and only then was he allowed to stay. He made us sign a contract."
"Right," she said as she stood up. "I will leave you alone then. I'm sorry for barging in on you."
"It's fine," I said with a smile. "What did you want anyway?"
"I thought I left my keys here yesterday," she said. "Can I look outside?"
She looked for a few minutes but she still couldn't find them. We said goodbye and I went back upstairs.
"There you go," I said to Brooklyn as I passed him a cup of coffee.
"Thanks," he said with a smile. "You look good in that." He winked at me as I looked down at my 'outfit'.
"I am wearing one my brother's t-shirts," I said. "How can I look good in it?"
"You just do," he said with a smirk. I climbed into the bed and rested against him. "Can you believe we only have four months of school left?"
"I'm going to have start revising," I said with a laugh. "I don't want to fail my exams."
"You won't," he said. "What are you doing next year?"
"History, Psychology, Spanish and Literature," I answered after a while. "You?"
"No idea," he said with a sigh. "I've only got two more weeks to make my mind up as well." He grabbed my hand and stroked my knuckles with his thumb. "I really enjoyed last night."
"Me too," I said with a smile. "Thank you for staying."
He kissed me slowly instead of saying anything. "I love you more than anything in the world," he whispered breathlessly.
"I love you more than anything in the world too," I whispered back after I had caught my breath. I pressed a long kiss to his lips.
"If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?" he asked me.
"Australia," I answered straightaway. "Most of my family moved out there when I was little and I miss them so much so it would be nice to be able to see them all the time."
"How often do you get to see them?"
"Every other summer usually," I said. "We aren't going this year but we're the year after. It's brilliant when we do see them though." I lay there in silence for a while. "If you could, what would you change about your life?"
"Nothing at all," he said. "It's perfect." He kissed me again. "What is something that is on your bucket list?"
"I want to be happy," I said with a smile. "That is it really. As long as I am happy I don't mind. What about you?"
"To lose my virginity," he said with a smirk.
"You're a virgin?" I asked in a shocked voice. He nodded. "I didn't think you would be. You must have had other girlfriends though, right?"
"Wrong," he said with an even bigger smirk. "You're my first and hopefully last girlfriend."
"I must say I'm shocked."
"So, are you a virgin?"
"I can't believe you are even asking me," I answered with a laugh. "Of course I am. Losing your virginity is something most people do in their teens so why is it on your bucket list?"
"In case I die young," he answered. "I'm planning to have that one crossed off within a few weeks though."
Before I could answer my phone started ringing. I grabbed and hit the accept button. "Can you phone me back Dad?" Brooklyn started poking my side. "Now isn't a great time."
"I wanted to speak to James actually but he isn't answering," he said.
"He's gone out with Tyler," I said while I tried not to laugh. "I've got to go, bye." I hung up my phone and jumped out the bed away from Brooklyn. "You're going to be waiting more than a few weeks to lose your virginity if you carry on."
"And if I stop?" he cheekily asked.
"You will still be waiting," I answered. "Now get up. I want to do something today."
"We've got the concert today," he said. "Did you forget?"
"It completely slipped my mind," I said as I checked my watch. It was only ten so I had plenty of time to get ready. "Piss off then so I can get ready for it."
"You're such a pleasure," he teased. He got out of bed and I couldn't help but stare at his bare chest. He grabbed his clothes which were in a pile on the floor and walked towards the door. "I will be a few minutes."
While he was changing I tidied up my room abit before slipping on some tracksuit bottoms.
"I'm off," he whispered in my ear as he handed me the pair of pyjamas I had got from James for him. "I will see you later."
"See you later then," I said with a smile. "I will show you out."
We walked down the stairs together and towards the front door as it started to open.
"What are you doing here?" I asked Mum as she walked through it. "You're not meant to be home until Sunday."
"It is Sunday," she answered. "What's Brooklyn doing here?"
"I left my phone here last night," he answered. Technically it wasn't a lie. It had been here last night. "I just popped in to pick it up."
"I will see you later then," I said to him. I hugged him quickly but nothing else because Mum was still in the hall.
"I will pick you up at one," he said as he walked down the steps. I watched him walk halfway down the road before my phone pinged in my hand. It was a text from Brooklyn.
I forgot to tell you I love you, so, I love you x
