Another soulmate identification-fic :)
Betty never imagined stooping as low as having to be interviewed to be a fucking waitress at the Whyte Wyrm. She was supposed to work at huge places like The New York Times or write a damn novel or something, not having to be a waitress to make a living to buy the newspaper in a dainty, small town in upstate New York. Having her own newspaper would've been amazing. But to actually purchase one, she had to have money. And therefore Elizabeth Cooper, 22 and blonde, hair up in a ponytail styled to perfection, was sat in the back room of a biker bar.
She couldn't see the colors of the room yet, she didn't know if the bookshelf to her right was brown or green for that matter. Every person was born to see no colors, until you eventually met your soulmate, which Betty had yet to do. Betty didn't know what color her eyes were. Her mother always told her it was green, but she didn't know what green was either. Her sister said it was a beautiful color, and Betty was excited to see it for herself.
The door opened roughly, the room lighting up in grey in Betty's eyes, and in walked a small woman. Betty couldn't make out the color of her hair, but she could make out the mis-colored tips. "Hi, beautiful, I'm Toni and I'm the bartender" the woman, Toni, said.
"Hi! I'm here for the waitressing job, if it's still open?" Betty answered, unsurely cocking her head to the side.
"Yeah, it's still open. I've just gotta get the boss. He's in charge of all this," she replied, a soft smile playing at her lips, "something tells me he'll like you. He's always had a thing for blondes" she smirked, winking, and headed out the door again.
Two minutes later the door swung open again, but this time Betty didn't see a woman, but a man, enter.
All of a sudden she could see everything more clearly, the shelves were red, her jacket was pink, his jacket was black and the walls were dark green. Her eyes widened as she took in her surroundings.
"Hello..." he started, but trailed off in the end, also looking around before meeting her gaze. "Holy shit" he breathed, keeping his eyes trained on the blonde in the chair.
She stood up and reached a hand out for him to shake, "Betty Cooper" she whispered, biting the corner of her lip.
He shook it, "Jughead Jones"
It was so soft.
"Um, so I guess we're soulmates," he started, nervously. "Yeah, I guess" she repeated.
"You have pretty eyes" he said, studying her closely. "So do you" she retaliated, her breath hitching at the sight of his deep cerulean irises.
(I know Cole's eyes are green, but in this I want Jughead's eyes blue.)"Jones, you forgot the..." Toni cut herself off, staring at the two of them, holding a folder with the questions for the interview in her hands.
Their hands were still intertwined and their eyes were still locked. Jughead turned his head to look over at Toni, "you have pink stripes in your hair" he breathed, and Toni gasped, "you..?" it was a silent question, as she looked between the two of them.
"Yes" Betty answered, eyes not leaving Jughead's face. He was gorgeous. His hair was black like the midnight sky. Face chiseled to perfection, his jawline carved by God himself, and his cheekbones high and toned.
As his hand reached for hers, his jacket rode up his arm a little and she noticed a small crown tattoo in black ink on the front of his wrist. The crown looked a lot like the one he wore proudly on his head, in the form of a beanie.
But what struck out to Betty were the initials underneath.

Her breath hitched in her throat has she snuck one finger out and touched it. Her own wrist tingled.
