That's Betty's outfit described in the text^^.
-
It was first day back after summer break and Betty couldn't wait to get out of last period. She had mathematics, and the teacher was explaining all the stuff they'd be going through during their senior year.

Her eyes had been on the clock on the wall for the last 40 minutes. Only 5 minutes left, she thought, and smiled to herself. She'd always though it was crazy how slow time passed when you watched the clock. She bit her lip and shook her head, willing her eyes back to the blackboard where ms. Wilkins was talking about fractions.

She looked around the classroom, meeting Veronica's eyes where she was sitting next to Archie Andrews. Veronica rolled her eyes exasperatedly, and Betty fought a grin, rolling her eyes too.

She chanced a look at the time again. Two minutes.

She'd never been as happy as she was when the bell rung. She packed up her stuff, slinging her bag pack over one of her shoulders.

"Have I told you yet today, that your outfit is absolutely adorable?" Kevin asked from the seat next to her, getting up and popping his satchel over his head and onto one of his shoulders.

Betty smiled gratefully, "thanks, Kev." She was wearing a striped tee, dark blue denim overalls overtop, and white vans.

They made their way toward the front of the school and saw a crowd starting to form in the parking lot. Everyone seemed to be standing around someone, whispering to each other.

"What's up with the crowd?" Kevin asked Veronica as they met up just outside the doors of the school. "The serpent king is here" she breathed, arm locking with Kevin's.

Betty smiled and started walking fast toward the crowd, "B! What are you doing?" Veronica shouted after her but Betty just turned around to smile and wave at them before she headed in and through the crowd.

As she got to the front, there he was. Jughead Jones. Her boyfriend.

He was straddling his bike, helmet under one arm, the other one bent at the wrist and holding a cigarette between his middle- and forefinger. He pulled it up to his mouth, seemingly not disturbed by the people around him, eyes scouting the crowd for someone as he slowly let the smoke out of his lungs through his mouth. All the girls around her seemed to swoon at the sight. He was wearing dark jeans, suspenders hanging from his hips. From his shoulders hung his leather, the embroidered snake on the back with its mouth open and fangs on display, a crown proudly on its head. Serpent King. Under the jacket he was wearing only his white undershirt, undoubtedly a result of the late summer heat. Most of his dark hair was covered by the crown beanie Betty remembers him putting on her head during the summer, the rest falling into his eyes, as the arm his helmet was resting under played with a few strands from the front.

She stepped out of the crowd, one step ahead of everyone else and his attention snapped toward her immediately, the harsh stare he'd had on his face disrupting as he broke into a smile. She heard the people behind her start to whisper and a few of them gasped as she started walking toward him and he flicked the cigarette to the ground, stepping on it with his heel while reaching his arm out for her.

She stepped into his embrace, and his hand curled around her waist as he whispered, "hey."

She giggled as he tickled her side, and leaned into him, "hi."

"You smell like smoke," she mumbled and he winced, "sorry, Betts, I'm trying to stop, but I
thought that while picking you up it'd be okay, 'cause I'd scare a bunch of your friends" he chuckled.

She looked down at him and he pouted his lips, and Betty knew exactly what he wanted, looking around them a bit self-conscious, but his eyes were pleading, so she leaned down to give him a kiss. It wasn't exactly long, but it wasn't a peck either, but it left both of them wanting more.
