part two of 'and you look so fucking good in my clothes'.*
Two days after Betty came back to Vancouver after her summer vacation in Riverdale, another FaceTime request came through. She swiped right with a giddy smile on her face.
"Hi, baby." he said. He was sitting in bed, shirt off and grinning lazily at her, face abnormally flushed.
"Hey, Jugs." she smiled, pulling her hairband out of her hair so her hair was out of its usual ponytail. He licked his lips.
"What's up, babe?" She asked, settling back against the headboard of her bed.
He chuckled, "not much, just wanted to see your face," he shrugged. Betty grinned.
"Why are you undressed?" She asked, eyebrow raised. Jughead smiled, "I think you know," he said plainly, and her eyes widened slightly, mouth snapping shut. "Gross." she muttered.
He laughed out loud, "you didn't think it was gross a couple weeks ago."
"That was different!"
"The only difference was that this time it was my hand and then back then it was your—"
"—Okay, okay!" She cut him off and he laughed again, "sorry, bubs" he apologized.
"Anyway," he started, "the reason I called you, is because I have a surprise for you" he said.
"Oooh! I love surprises! What is it?" She asked excitedly.
"Well.." he started, looking complexed, "I'm moving." he said.
"What?" She questioned, "where? Are you going to college this year after all?" She asked.
"No," he chuckled lightly, "I'm moving to you, I'm moving to Vancouver." He scratched the back of his neck nervously.
Betty stares blankly at him for a few seconds. "What?" She said finally.
Jug took a shaky breath, "I've found a place in Vancouver. And I was thinking of living there and being with you, until you're finished with high school."
Betty laughed happily, "really?" She asked and her eyes filled with tears.
Jughead nodded and breathed a sigh of relief at her happy reaction, "really."
"Oh my gosh!" Betty cried happily. "I want to hug you so bad!"
"When are you moving?" She asked when she'd calmed down again and wiped the tears off of her cheeks.
"Well, I've been texting with this woman who's renting out her apartment and she says I can come and take it over by the end of the month." He says and smiles at his girl.
She giggles, "I'm so excited!" She claps her hands together.
"And when you're finished with high school we can both head to New York for college like we talked about this summer." He said and Betty smiled and sighed contently.
"I can't wait." She said.

The next week was the first week of her senior year of high school.
She headed to school early to set up for the school newspaper that she was in charge of this year as last years senior editor had graduated the previous semester.
20 minutes before the first bell she met Veronica in the student lounge and plopped down on the couch with her.
"I bought you coffee." Veronica sung and handed her a paper cup. "Your normal but with soy milk because I've heard it tastes better and I know you're like basically lactose intolerant but you don't want to admit it."
