Kill The Beast! Part 2!

The servants sit solemnly in the living room, sulking over their soon demise. 

Matt tries to lighten up the situation, "At least he has finally learned to love."

Pidge glares at her brother, "A lot of good that does us if he doesn't love him in return!"

"No. This is the first time I've had any real hope he would..." Hunk says.

Coran hears a distant sound of rumbling and hops towards the window, "Did you hear that, kids? Is it him!? Is he coming back?!"

The staff exchange excited looks and rush over to the window. Pidge shouts, "I SURE HOPE SO!"

They see torchlight and Matt questions the situation to himself, "Could it be?!"

The frosted window doesn't help. Pidge tugs Matt's arm towards the glass to help melt away the frost. Instead of seeing Lance, they see a mob.

Matt doubles back, taking his sister with him, " Sacrebleu! Invaders!"

"Ruffians!" Hunk shouts.

Pidge stands up, helping her brother up, "Well, there you go! So much for true love! Man the barricades, and hold fast!"

The staff hurry downstairs and move furniture to make a barricade. It's a pitiful one but they're working on it.

"Hearts ablaze, banners high! We go marching into battle! Unafraid although the danger just-increased!" 

Shiro comes in and spots his friends trying to barricade the door, "Move aside!"

The servants move aside and Shiro props himself up vertically, helping barricade the door. Not soon after the mob is ramming a log into the door screaming, "Raise the flag, sing the song! Here we come, we're fifty strong and fifty Frenchmen can't be wrong! Let's kill the beast!"

The mob rams the door sending Pidge flying off of the furniture and towards the staircase, "We need help!"

Pidge hurries up the stairs to warn Keith as the other servants try to guard the door.

Lance and his family sit in the dark wagon. Lance gets up and looks out the barred window and sees the driver pacing back and forth in front of the fountain. He sits back down next to his Mother and siblings. He whispers "I have to warn the beast--"

His mother turns to him worriedly, "Warn him?! How did you get away from him?"

"He let me go, mama. He sent me back to you." 

"I don't understand..."

Lance holds up the heart-shaped rattle, "He took me there. I know what happened to papa."

Lance's mother is stunned. She takes the rattle from her son and gives it to Veronica who is sitting on her lap, "Then you know I had to leave him there. I had to protect you and your siblings. I've always tried to protect you... too much, perhaps..."

Lance notices the tears starting to form in his mother's eyes, "I understand."

Lance hugs his mom and sister. Marco and Luis join them. Pulling away, Lance has an idea, "Will you help me now?"

His mother doesn't understand at all, "Whatever you're planning is far too dangerous."

"Yes. Yes, it is."

His mother notices the determination and courage in his eyes. She sighs and gives in, "Of course I could try to pick the lock. After all, it's only gears and springs. But I would need something long and sharp--"

Lance is already a step ahead of his mother. He holds up one of the hairpins that he keeps on him for Veronica. His mother smiles and takes the hairpin, "Like that... Perfect."

Lance's mom hands Veronica over to him and moves towards the end of the wagon, reaching through the bars and picking the lock. Veronica sits up and looks at her brother, "You're suit is really pretty!"

Lance ruffles Veronica's hair playfully, "Thank you, Veronica."

Veronica giggles and leans against her brother's chest, "Are you gonna get married to some fancy prince or something?"

Lance blushes lightly, "I don't know."

Pidge makes her way up the stairs and turrets, searching for Keith. She finds him perched near the gargoyle statues, "Pardon me, master. I'm sorry to disturb you, but--"

"He's not coming back..." Keith says solemnly.

"No, the castle is under attack!" Pidge says.

Keith doesn't even offer her a glance, "It doesn't matter now. Just let them come..."

"Kill the beast! Kill the beast!" The mob chants from the other side of the door.

They continue ramming the door and that said door is starting to give way. 

Hunk is extremely worried, "Matt, this isn't working!"

"I know! I know! Just-" Matt has an idea, "I know what to do!"

The mob keeps going, "Kill the beast! Kill the beast!"

The mob busts the door down, finding the castle empty and dark. The only light offered is the torchlight. The mob, led by Nyma and Rolo enter cautiously. Rolo looks around the dim torchlit room, "Are you not the least bit concerned that this castle might be haunted?"

Nyma glares at her companion, "Don't lose your nerve, Rolo!"

The mob explores the room. Rolo finds Hunk and Coran sitting on their cart, "You must be the talking teacup. And you must be his grandfather!"

Hunk's eyes shoot open furiously, "GRANDFATHER?! ATTACK!"

Rolo jumps back, as all hell breaks loose. The furniture comes to life and starts to defend the castle. Rolo back peddles away from the cart and into the crowd. Nyma turns to see Shiro about to crush her. She frantically looks around and sees Rolo. She shoves him in front herself and jumps out of the way. Shiro comes crashing down on Rolo, crushing him.

Nyma looks down at Rolo as Shiro plays the death song. Rolo looks up at her, "Nyma... Help.."

Nyma looks at the enchanted mirror then to the staircase. She turns back to her 'friend' and shrugs, "Sorry, old friend. It's hero time."

Nyma rushes up the staircase towards the West Wing. Rolo closes his eyes and sighs in defeat.

The wagon's driver notices one of the wagon's doors is ajar. He rushes over rips them open to find it empty. He slams the doors shut and looks to his left. He jumps back seeing Lance's mother standing there along with Marcus and Luis. Lance's mother smiles, "Hello! Oh, I believe this is yours." She casually hands the wagon's padlock over to the driver.

Lance rides past and out of the village on Philippe. Veronica walks up to her mother's side with the jacket of Lance's suit on her. Her mom picks her up and looks back to the driver, "My son, Lance is very headstrong. Do you have children?"
