Description: prompt #8 requested from @doyouwantfriendship"I like the name Peter," you said, running your fingers around the baby in circles.
"Peter, really?" Tom asked from the kitchen.
"I mean, it's a good name! And it has sentimental value," you pointed out, as Tom walked into the living, holding two plates of pizza.
"It does have sentimental value I guess. I'll consider it, but nothing's final!" Tom grabbed the remote, turning the tv on, "What do you wanna watch?"
"Hmmm... Black Panther." You decided, taking a chomp out of your pizza.
"Black Panther it is."
That night, you and Tom were in bed, Tom's hands around your back, your noses were just centimetres away.
"And for a girl?" You asked him, running your hands through his beautiful hair.
"I like the name Diana. Like the princess." Tom replied dreamily.
"Wow Thomas. And I thought my name suggestion was cheesy." You laughed, as he faked offence. "I'm only giving you a hard time. It's a beautiful name. I like Luna too though."
"Luna's pretty. But I thought of a boy's name I like."
"Oh? And what's that love?"
"Theo. Or Theodore as his full name."
"Ooh I love that." You sighed, "I think if it's a girl Elizabeth would be a nice middle name. For your mother's middle name."
"Mum would be over the moon," Tom smiled back at you.
"We're gonna be... good parents right Tom?"
"I don't know about me... but you're gonna be a great mum, that I know."
Three months later:
Your POV
The zip of the dress went up, snuggly around the large bump, and I looked up at my reflection in the looking glass. The dress I wore was of a pale pink colour, fashioned out of chiffon. It hung beautifully off one shoulder, with a small diamond boarder running along the neckline. The designers were adjusting the fit as Tom walked in, dressed in a tuxedo.
"You look so beautiful Y/n."
"Thank you," I smiled at him, extending my hand for a kiss.
"But are you sure you can come to the premier? I don't want you, or-or the baby to get hurt, if anything were to happen-"
"Tom! Stop treating me like a baby!" I huffed, stepping back from him. "I'm not made of glass! I can handle one red carpet premier without dying." Tom merely chuckled at me.
"I know. But we've come so far, eight whole months, I just don't want you to get stressed out." Tom explained, buttoning and unbuttoning the jacket of his suit.
"Babe, nothing is going to happen," I sighed, rubbing his arm up and down, "I'm not stressed at all. I'm excited! You worked so hard on this project." It was the premier for a different film Tom had done. We had flown out to Los Angeles for the premier, and Tom was more worried than me about flying halfway across the globe. He almost didn't want me to go.
"Yeah. It will be pretty exciting." He agreed, allowing me to loop my arm around his. "Now c'mon the limo's waiting!"
We got out of the limousine on Hollywood Boulevard, and the immediate sound of paparazzi filled our ears.
"Tom! Y/n! Over here!" They shouted, as we waved kindly.
"Hello!"
Walking over to take pictures on the red carpet, Tom put his arm around you, making his infamous frog face.
"I see Dave's making an appearance." You teased him, smiling for the cameras.
Just as you were changing poses, a large boom set you on edge.
"What the fuck was that?" I asked, jumping back a foot.
"I don't kn- oh confetti!" Tom pointed to the little shred of paper that were falling all over us.
"Oh... that startled me," I picked out as much confetti as I could from my hair.
"Uh, there's one more surprise." Tom whispered in my ear.
"And what would that be?"
"This is the gender reveal."
"What?!" I yelled, looking around wildly.
"Yeah. Uh, well I actually asked the doctor for the gender, and gave it to Haz. He set it up." Tom explained, as the photographers clicked rapidly.
"So the- so the colour of the confetti is the gender of our baby?"
"Yeah..." he smiled, looking at the paper. I looked up too. All around me was the colour...
What colour confetti is it? I'm gonna wait a week to write the next one so I can get maximum input. Also, if you anybody wants to add name suggestions, leave em here!
AAAALSO, congrats Prince Louis on your christening!
